The study space is alright. It is hard to find a place to study during exams. The hours need to be improved. Should open earlier and stay open later, especially on the weekends (opening at 11am is too late).Otherwise the staff are nice.

Decent library. Hours could be improved (closing at 8pm on Saturday nights specifically is pretty odd). Also, that warning alarm towards closing time is horrific and needs to be changed. I know that it's meant to prevent people from staying in but you could find slightly more respectful sounds.

Super helpful staff at the IT desk! Very spacious and lots of room to sit. Some helpful resources laid out on the main floor. There is a Starbucks on the main floor.

I really like studying here. I always studied here when I was a student and now as an alumni and studying for post-grad exams, it still maintains a wonderful environment.

It's a beautiful library but staffs are Zero accommodative, literally no good service is there.

I'd belonged to universities in the U.S., Netherlands and Spain, and definitively I can say McLaughlin Library is the best among all universities where I've been all around the world. Facilities in the library are so nice and all building is so clean and quiet. I saw staffs in library look around the whole building from time to time to check everything is okay. I felt so safe. Quiet study room is also so nice for people who need a private space. If you're a student at University of Guelph, you should be proud of the campus library as you have a privilege to study in the one of the best libraries in the world.

It's a good study area with nice and helpful staff. Currently, only the first two floors are open and all seating is individual, so it is inadequate for group work. However, it hasn't been too busy so it's easy to find somewhere to sit. The alarm that goes off 15 minutes and 5 minutes before closing is very loud and terrifying, so be aware of that. Overall, a lot has changed due to the Covid policies but it still is a great place to study even without active in person classes.

For a Montrealer girl like me, it is crazy that this university library has only three printers. And sometimes, only one of them works!! University students having to line up for a printer is ridiculous. Also, I agree with the other commenters who said that some of the staff is very rude.

I came in tonight to scan some documents and I was super confused. Spoke to Timothy at the front desk and he was beyond helpful and informative. He even helped find my documents once I had scanned them. Top notch service!
