I recently had the pleasure of ordering takeaway at Ellis Kitchen, and I must say, it has undoubtedly claimed the crown for the best Jamaican food in town. Tried Ellis Food, One word Amazing. Customer Service on point, i requested to get extra oxtail gravy on my rice and peas, they flooded it, not like other caribean joints were you ask for gravy and they only put ot on top, and bottom of rice has no gravy. The chicken, jerk was soft and fresh. I ate my jerk in my car, and my 6 year old liked the rice and oxtail, so i went back in the store amd got a large rice and peas with extra oxtail gravy, again she loaded the gravy, my daughter killed it, keep up the fresh food, will visit very soon

First of all…the ackee & saltfish is awful. $18.50 for a medium??? That’s outrageous. Also, the ackee & saltfish has little to no saltfish. The ackee itself was in small pieces. Barely any flavour or any liquid/oil in the dish. My provisions were all dry. Smh. Hard to digest. I definitely won’t be back. Seriously not impressed. I definitely thought it would be better as they just reopened 3 days ago.

Flavourful, hot and fresh. My meal was affordable and well proportioned. If you have no time to make proper Caribbean food, this is where you go. I will be frequenting this establishment regularly. Patties are moist and flakey. I had the oxtail and rice. Ate too fast and forgot to take photo of the oxtail….next time.

This is my 2nd experience going to Ellis’s kitchen. Great pick up joint for some curry chicken roti or jerk chicken or macaroni pie. Their menu is expansive. Note: call it in for faster pick up.

I’ve eaten from this restaurant a total of 4 times all within the past 6months.. however my last encounter tonight will be my last encounter. In person your order and your food is okay minus the lack of customer service skills or the not knowing how to professionally act like you want to be at work and display that to clients. Order on SkipTheDishes tn and got festivals fish and soup (they ran out of soup so they sent me dumplings?!? Odd) the festivals were BURNT so much so that they crumbled apart to crumbs when u break or bite them. Quality is a hit or miss HUGE hit or miss and when brought to their attention they simply could careless. HARD PASS!!

Patties are good.. but I don't know what the think roti isbut it's not what I recieved!!! They better step up their game before the wreck there name

Simply The Best Jamaican food in Hammertown, hands down. When I order, I always order large size, so I can have some for next days lunch. That's have much I love it. Today I had Jerk Chicken, and let me tell you, every bite was to die for. Thanks again and keep up the good work ;). Cheers!

Ordered $40 worth of food including goat head soup, two pieces of goat in the soup. After asking to make sure there's meat in it.For that price..?don't expect meat in the soup

Heyyyy so I live near the new location .most days the food and patties are legit but today nawwwww don't come here with the new location and act like yall still downtown. I bought a pattie which is now 4$ smh not worth that and it was hard please stop this don't put so many in and then they sit there and over cook.
