Reserved the property of Spruceholme for my wedding ceremony and reception in August. It is a phenomenal space that offers all you could want for an all-in-one wedding. Delicious food options, comfortable and unique lodgings and an amazingly cultured and historic area to explore.Jane, the owner was very hands on on the day of, ensuring things went smoothly and offering guests tours of her property. She has a wealth of local historical knowledge. My grandmother was raving about the private tour she got and the lovely history of the grounds.The Chef Peter was simply fantastic. He worked diligently with us to make a delectable menu that respected allergies of our guests, and bent over backwards to ensure we were happy every step of the way.My guests have not stopped commenting on how friendly the staff was, the convenience of the lodgings, how all the food was to die for.There were a few hiccups throughout the planning phase, but the staff worked with me to ensure things were quickly worked out, and at the end of the day, our wedding went off without a hitch!Thank you you Jane, Peter and team.

I dare you to find a better pet friendly Inn that has both rooms and cabins with a host who is both polite, professional and knowledgeable of the local area.

Can only say great things about our stay. Jane is a caring and attentive owner. The waiting staff at the Bistro (that's you Denise) provided pleasant and fast service. Their amazing Chef Rodney delivered an outstanding dining experience (checked with us personally), featuring local meats and vegetables. And they were able to deliver this level of service while the Inn was buzzing with guests for a wedding.We will be back.

EDITED TO ADD RESPONSE FROM OWNER: Okay, its crazy that after 3.5 years, you respond to my review. Its also baffling your blaming the pandemic for how terrible you were when 95% of our interactions came before there was a pandemic, so thats not the issue. Being a small business owner, and who happens to also work in the wedding industry, there was proper ways to handle the situation and taking our money and giving us terrible service was not appropriate. Please feel free to give us our refund we have been asking for (for 3.5 years) which may change how things are, but since every time we tried to contact you, you ignored us just shows the type of service you offer. I also do not think you have improved" in any way.. majority or the reviews on your site look fake or bought.My fiance and I first looked at Spruceholme over a year and a half ago... I then heard really nothing about the venue and when we first looked at it

Stayed in the Russell House and the heat in our room didn't work. The shower also leaked all over the floor. There was a dirty towel hanging on the back of our door when we arrived and only one shower towel was provided for two people staying in the room. The water from the tap water was also yellow. The food that was served was sub-par.

Beautiful historic buildings. We stayed at the Toller house and the rooms are very beautiful and clean.Our server was so wonderful, very kind and went out of her way to accommodate us. She is such a lovely woman.The bathroom of the main building are so cute and clean. The decor is very antique with a touch of class.

I recently had my wedding reception in June at the Spruceholme. I am still in awe at how wonderful the evening was! Chef Peter went above and beyond my expectations. He made sure to go over every detail of the food and service for the evening. He was also extremely attentive to all my guests allergies and created menu items to fit any dietary restrictions. My lovely mother-in-law is still raving about the dairy and gluten-free cheese cake! Chef Peter was very reliable and his food can't be beat!The wait staff were very helpful and welcoming to all my guests who attended and those who stayed the night at the inn. I received a lot of comments on how comfortable the atmosphere was thanks to the staff. It was really a team effort as well the housekeeping staff were awesome during our stay and also helped serve my guests in the restaurant for breakfast as well!Jane was lovely to work with and she made sure that my husband and I knew exactly what we were booking for our wedding - no surprises. She was very accommodating during the planning process, especially when having to reschedule a few times due to the pandemic.Thank you all for helping us have such a wonderful wedding!
