Charlton Lake Camp

Finally had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful place. Words can't even describe the scenery...what a remarkable place. The hosts were amazing. Dan and Lisa are truly two of the nicest people, I have met. The camp surpassed every expectation we had before getting out there. It's clean, family oriented, fun and relaxing. The amount of care and love put into this place is evident from the owners. It is welcoming, and stress free. You really only need to pack food and clothing, they have thought of everything else to make the stay relaxing and easy. From games, to books, to water equipment they have you covered. My children and friends had an absolute blast...I highly recommended this place....if you don't go your missing out. Lots to do wither it rains or shines. My only suggestion is bring little containers if your camping over several days and have left overs your keeping while you camp or plastic wrap would work too. Looking for a beautiful vacation spot? Look no further you're there!CLC is the most wonderful spot I've ever stayed. The scenery is stunning the fishing great and Dan & Lisa the most attentive hosts you could ever hope to find. These folks make a point of keeping a low profile until the second they're needed then you'll get all the help you need and with good working relationships with the local merchants they can help you with anything you need ! Seriously folks this camp is the real deal.Lisa and Dan.. thank you SO much for another wonderful holiday and we're looking forward to seeing you again next summer,where else could our little Maddy get her tummy rubs??

The owners are great people and they will do their best to accommodate your needs. We have been staying at this camp for 25 years, through several different owners, and I think the current owners are the perfect fit. Beautiful, clean cabins.

It was a last minute decision, but a great one at that. My husbad and I were looking to spend some quitet time reading books and enjoying the sounds of nature.It was exactly what we were looking for.The cabin was immaculate. The space was perfect. We enjoyed our small cabin and the grounds as well. Beautiful beach area for swimming, hammocks everwhere. This was just the quiet rest time I seeked.Dan and Lisa are amazing.You guys do an excellent job making this place what it is. Thanks for you hospitality and hope to see you again soon.PS. Huge thing for me, there were no traces of critters. No mice, no bugs in the cabin. Huge yes for me!!

Great little place! Beautiful setting. Cabins are rustic - but well maintained. Bug free and mouse free. Surrounding waters and landscape are beautiful. Owners Dan and Lisa went out of their way to replace a malfunctioning BBQ for us. They really do put in a honest effort to please their guests. They put their heart into things there. Good bang for the buck if you ask me. I would definitely recommend - and I would definitely return.

Been coming here for 3 (maybe 4?) years now and it is always a great experience. Clean cabins, lovely hosts, and very peaceful. Although you aren't far from civilization, you certainly feel like you can unwind and recharge here. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Charlton Lake Camp was magical and Dan & Lisa were wonderful hosts!We stayed for one week later in September and were fortunate to have fantastic weather. Incidentally it was the final week for the camp to be open but we would definitely book that week again…so amazing! The cabins are clean, comfortable and have all that you need to enjoy your stay. The surrounding area has stunning landscapes with many lakes and trails to explore so be sure to fit some of that activity in your plans.

We spent a week at Charlton in September and our visit was awesome. Charlton is a gem in itself but its location near Killarney and Manitoulin make it a great spot for adventures in Rainbow Country. Incredible hiking, fishing and forest bathing. We saw eagles, heard owls and we're blown away at the abundance of mushrooms. Owners Dan and Lisa were pleasant and accommodating, their sincere care about the guests was a treasure. Our cabin was rustic and vintage and clean.
