Mother Knows Best
Dorothy and her assistant are really fantastic. They use a praise-based training technique (as opposed to treat based) relying on verbal cues. 10 minutes into the first lesson all the dogs and their owners made noticeable improvements. The key is consistency and being assertive with your dog, Dorothy reinforces this and really tries to help the owners exert their dominance. I was apprehensive at first because I read some of the negative reviews on Yelp but all my worries were instantly washed away, and I would encourage others to disregard any of those reviews. The parking is fine at College/Bathurst, worst case scenario is you have to park across the street. We loved the class, we loved Dorothy and her assistant and we will keep going back for the rest of our lessons. Highly recommend

I was very happy with Dorothy's training. I came here after I had a recommendation from a colleague. While it was hard at first for my little shorkie to get into things, the trick was really practice. And that's what Dorothy had mentioned. You need to practice at home. We are constantly getting compliments about how our dog, Pasta, is very obedient and well trained - thank you Dorothy.Prices are incredibly reasonable. Dorothy is adorable and has been doing this for many years. She definitely has an old school technique, but it works. Not everyone may like it, but it's the same with children - not everyone parents the same way.

Mother Knows Best
Dorothy is the Dog Whisperer". She is such a wonderful trainer. She loves dogs.She never uses treats (bribes) or physical discipline. Her training is based on the fact that all dogs are good and eager to please. Her use of "tone of voice' and body language illicits a dogs full attention.I hope she does this great service for many years to come."
