Trail to Scarborough Heights Waterfront
This joke is shorter than I expected, but it is very pleasant. Wish it connected all the way through the coast. The very first part of getting down and back up from the bluffs is the hardest part. Otherwise, it’s very easy!!!

During our first week in Canada as a PR we came across this beautiful trail. This is one of the most amazing and breathtaking places I have ever been to. So calm and peaceful. The trail is walkable for people of all ages. It's a downhill and an uphill course but the tracks are very well maintained. It's not all crowded which is one of the best parts. I have been here at sunrise and sunset and it is wonderful. Enjoy and have a wonderful time.

There is a steep trail path that will take you down to waterfront where you will find a mini beach on Lake Ontario. If you hike more along the path your going to get incredible views of the bluffs. Please note this trail path is steep going down. Go at your own pace to be safe. I would bring water, protein bar, and proper shoes to be safe.I was amazed that I can see the bluffs from a different side and avoid the crowds. It was an incredible experience once you make it down and take in all this natural beauty around you.

It's a few people but it's a beautiful place. You also can see the cliff and lake views.

Before it got marked on the Google Maps, first time visitors would face difficulty in locating this trail. Now both Scarborough Heights Waterfront and the trail leading there can be found on the map. It is a very steep trail. Hence care must be taken to avoid slips and falls. Climbing back to the street also requires strong muscles and lungs. However, if one is willing to take the adventure, of course with due caution, the trip to the waterfront is very well worth it.

This is great little hike. It offers you more solitude when compared to the more popular trails around the bluffs and it gives several vantage points for great photos. If you pick the right time of day, you get the secluded stone beaches all to yourself. There are several other llittle beaches along this trail offering unique views of the bluffs and the lake. You need good shoes for this trail and it is not friendly to people with mobility issue. There is one steep section and many areas of large lose stones - be careful in wet weather. There is ample street parking near the trailhead. The trail begins right behind the yellow gate posts. You start by descending a steep hill. At the bottom of the hill, the main trail is on your left and to your right is a less travelled trail that goes down to quiet stone beaches - I save these beaches for the end of my hike.So if you follow the main trail you will get a peaceful walk and if you willing to climb over some large stones, the trail will lead you into Bluffers park. I usually turnaround at Bluffers Park and head back for those secluded stone beaches near the start of the trail. So when your back at hill by the trailhead you see a little trail to your right descending into the bush . Follow that trail to some of the quietest beaches in the city.It is about 5k if you do both sections of the walk.

Beautiful trail. I thought it will lead to the Scarborough Bluffs but it stops you halfway and you’re forced to take the super steep uphill back.

The trail is about steep initially, so make sure you wear shoes with decent grip, because the chances of slipping and falling is pretty high. It's a small hike down, not that much of a task tbh. It's very calming and beautiful though. I don't know if it's because of the timing I went and there were very few ppl down there. Regardless definitely worth coming once in a while especially during the summer just to take some time out, and release your stress.

One of the best places to enjoy the bluffs with the least number of people.A short trail and you've entered heaven. It looks the prettiest in July and August. With ducks and geese just roaming around in groups. It's beautiful. The pictures that am sharing were clicked mid June 2022.

Absolutely gorgeous! Ensure you’re wearing your hiking or running shoes when you visit. Great exercise trail (steep). View is worth it.
