Vellore Dog Park

Small park and most dog owners here are clueless of dog behavior.

Really good dog park. It's really good they installed it because there aren't any nearby off-leash areas. The dog park is clean, has a effective gate system, has two picnic benches, but the only problem is the garbage is outside. So if you need to throw away you're dogs waste you have to go outside and do it. There are also many owners who don't even watch their dogs. The dogs attack the other dogs and hump them, trying to be dominant.

First time to this facility. Off leash dog area within a public park. We have a small timid dog and though that this would be a good social environmentfor her. There were few people there and everyone was very friendly. Owners picked up after their dogs and they all played well with each other. I wish we had one closer to our area but this is only a 10 minute drive away. Although it took some time for the dogs to acquaint each other I do believe it was good for our dog. I hope you enjoy it too.

This dog park is awesome! We brought our family dog Charlie here to play with his friends. It was clean and spacious. There are two fenced areas, one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. I really liked this since most dog parks do not differentiate and our small Maltese Pomerian got trampled at one. However at this dog park, that will never happen! The other dog owners were friendly and respectful. Great location.

I took my dog to the “small dog” area and if you plan on going here look out for a dog named Apollo. Terrible and very irresponsible owners of this dog. They allow this dog to bite other peoples dogs, bites other owners clothing and just continuously pulls and pulls…and all this happens while the owners just stand there and chit chat, not paying attention. No wonder your dog is this way. 100% other owners feel this way, because I’ve heard it.

Very small dog park with no running water or shelter. Two areas for large and small dogs.The facility is new and nice but it is all grass instead of mulch. Shared parking with the park. There is a washroom in the attached park.

Dog park is great. A lot of people complain about it being small but dogs don't run races, they play with each other so the space is sufficient. Only problem is the humans that come here with their four legged family members. Lots of people smoke, throw their cigarette butts on the ground, not being conscious that dogs might eat them... Some people come thinking they're gonna play ball with only THEIR dog... But it's a dog park, so if your dog gets snatched by another dog, you can't get upset... And maybe a dog park is not the place to play fetch with your dog. Some people don't watch their dog, allowing for sometimes bad and aggressive behaviour... I wish bylaw would come around now and then.

A little small for anything more than 4 Large dogs, in the big dog area.The rules are clearly posted and they have a small dog area!

Great new park nearby, they have both a small and a big dog section. All the local dogs that frequent are generally friendly and it is a nice neighbourhood. My dog is a bit smaller but I have taken her to the big section many times and she has never had issues with the bigger dogs.
