Chung's Martial Arts Academy

My 5 year old daughter has been attending the academy for almost a year now. She looks forward to going and sincerely loves Master Paul. He does a fantastic job teaching the young kids proper discipline and techniques, which in turn improves their self-confidence and creates a positive self perception. When she passes a test and earns new tape, she is motivated to keep going and learn more. When she doesn't pass, Master Paul highlights what she has done well and what she needs to work on for next time. She never leaves discouraged, rather encouraged to work harder. We will continue to attend this academy for as long as she wants!

Thanks to Chung's, martial arts has quickly become my sons favorite sport. Master Paul is extremely patient. He doesn't just teach, he explains. The overall growth my son has shown since starting at Chung's is amazing and I look forward to continuing our experience there. I highly recommend Chung's for all age groups.

Chung's has been a great place for my 6 year old to learn Tae Kwon Do. Master Paul runs a great program with many opportunities for the students to experience competitions and weekly progress in their journey. Everyone is very patient and kind with the students. We have had an awesome experience.

My son started working with Master Paul a few months ago and absolutely loves it. Master Paul has an incredible balance of discipline and patience that I don't think I have ever seen in any person I have ever met. He has a special ability to connect with students of all ages. Master Paul not only teaches the art of Taekwondo but the art of being a great human being that students will use for the rest of their lives. Chung's Martial Arts Academy is a professional, and patient martial arts academy, which takes the time to instruct and guide children at varying levels of skill and behavior. Master Paul has always held himself to a very high standard of conduct and a true representative of the tenets of Taekwondo, which he patiently manages to pass along to his students. The other instructor's who I have seen in class, Master Ron, Master Scott and David, all have unique teaching styles, which complement each other very well, and allows the students to grow and learn the arts from different perspectives. I would highly recommend anyone, young or old take the opportunity to study at Chung's for their personal growth and physical/martial development. Keep up the good works!

My son has been attending the Tiny Tiger's class for about 8 months. Since that time, I have seen huge improvements in his confidence and discipline! Master Paul is phenomenal with the young children. He is firm when he needs to be, holds them to high but realistic expectations, and is teaching them great life lessons. I am so thankful to have such a great academy in our small town!

My son started learning Taekwondo at Chung's about 2 years ago before he started Kindergarten. It's been a great experience, and the training has benefited him in so many ways from focus, to confidence, to setting and achieving short-term goals (belt testing), to competing in local martial arts tournaments, it's been overwhelmingly positive. And Paul VanSchoyck does a fantastic job working with the kids. Highly recommend.

While I am not a full time student at Chung's because I live out of state, I have attended lessons here and cannot stress how clean, professional, and high-quality this academy is. If you are even a little curious about trying martial arts, at any age, trust Paul to guide you with your skills development and physical safety in mind!

Love taking my 5yr old here, Paul is great and very patient with the kids and so are his older students. They are very informative and through with parents and their students. Professional and yet a comfortable atmosphere.

My kids (5 and 4) have greatly benefitted from this academy! Master Paul is great with the younger kids. He expects them to listen and follow directions. It has helped my daughter gain confidence and grit. My son is new but is already understanding it more and more. It is an excellent program and something my children will never have to give up. It doesn’t have to end after school. It can be a life long journey.
