Market Bistro
The food was great! We looooved the cheeseboard, nothing negative to say about it! We ordered the duck confit, pizza margherita and the french onion soup. The duck was extremely good, and the pizza was great as well. The soup was slightly too salty, but it was not bad. For dessert, we had the lemon pie and tiramisu. The lemon pie was fresh and delicious. The tiramisu’s cream tasted more like whip cream, it was not very flavourful. Overall, our experience was great. Clean place to eat.

Great vibe and experience in Canmore and Market Bistro!The staff was welcoming and very friendly.The food was delicious!I recommend the Pollo Penne, Steak Panzanella, and Creme Brulee!Highly advised to have a reservation :)

Went with a group of 5 people. We had the carbonara, mushroom risotto, and the lamb shank special. Everybody rated their food a 3 out of 5.Two of us had the spaghetti carbonara. The food was not very flavorful and the portion was quite small. Neither of us would order again.Two people ordered the mushroom risotto. Again the the portion was small and neither was very impressed. Risotto seemed very undercooked.Lamb shank was everybody's favorite dish however was underwhelming in sides.We tried to order several bottles of wine and they were not available.We will not return.

Great food, we loved everything that we ordered including appetizers. Service was a little off. They spilled water on my friend, didn't bring out cutlery for another person and then brought out my entrée alone with the appetizers (my other 3 friends didn't receive their food yet and we had only just gotten both appetizers). Serving staff might need some re-training but otherwise a good overall experience. Little expensive but a nice treat for an occasion ($250 for 4 people), I would give them another shot.

Absolutely incredible flavours in every dish. The CAPRESE SALAD was excellent with the fresh burrata, the EGGPLANT tasted great with the melted cheese & tomatoes. The STEAK however I think was slightly more medium than medium-rare (as I had asked) and the amount of peppercorns overpowered the sauce a little. The GF CHOCOLATE CAKE was melt in your mouth type - made with some form of a gluten free flour mix and almond milk I was incredibly impressed with this cake. Overall I think this restaurant is overpriced, but the food is excellent.

Delicious!! Quaint peaceful restaurant with unique delicious options. Great service. We started with the appetizer special burrata. For main course I had the Caesar salad with salmon. My mom had the mushroom soup and avocado focaccia. We also had a baguette that was served with olive oil.

Extremely good food, we’ve been there a couple of times already and each time, it was wonderful! Everything we tried was always really tasty, be it sweet or salty. It’s honestly one of the best restaurants you can find in Canmore. The only downside I’d say, is that you can hear pretty loudly the people doing the dishes when you eat inside, which is a bit less relaxing. But apart from that, I have nothing to say, great service and amazing food, definitely coming back soon!

We really enjoyed our evening at the Market Bistro which is a bit off the main drag of the town of Canmore itself - a short drive up the highway but well worth it. The space was very cozy and warm. We enjoyed the carpaccio to start as well as the salmon and scallop tartare - a definite highlight of the meal which was all entirely delicious. For mains, I had the salmon and prawns and my partner had the spaghetti carbonara. The portions weren't overly big, just satisfying. Charu was our attentive server, very friendly and helpful. Great night!

I tried the Atlantic salmon and prawns, as well as their in-house chocolate torte, paired with a nice organic Riesling. The fish was a bit overdone and there could’ve been more than two prawns, but the flavours on the plate, the texture, and mouth feel were excellent. We were pampered by our attentive, friendly server, and we enjoyed al fresco dining on a sunny late spring afternoon with a gorgeous view of the mountains.
