I have been for long time a Canadian Tire Auto Centre customer for their organized, neat, thorough, reliable and nation-wide auto service but the irresponsible management of this branch in Kelowna is terrible and unfortunately, this is the only CT branch in Kelowna that you can go to!

I went in for a tire repair. Two hours after I was supposed to have picked it up, I was walking back and they called saying that it needed a bunch of other work. I told them that we had just been in to see our regular guy who is a family friend and we trust 100%. I told them to just fix the tire like I asked and I needed to leave because I had to work. I ended up waiting another hour once I got back and was late for work.

I was told online tire installation was free. I later go in to pickup my car and It was 160. Apparently the charge of putting rims on the tires" and not installation. Complete scam. I was then told I have to install them here or else they will void my warranty. Terrible service and pretty rude."

I had an interesting experience with Canadian Tire Auto recently. I took my car in for a loose fan belt and they said they had to replace the alternator. In the process of fixing my car the main fuse broke. It took three days for them to get another fuse from a Toyota dealership and this was obviously upsetting. However, the service at Canadian Tire were always professional and they even paid for my cabs to and from the store during these three days. The manager even offered to pay for cab fair to and from my office.Overall, an interesting experience and sometimes things just happen that are out of your control. I appreciate the staff for being professional and getting my car out of this tricky situation.

Bought my all weather truck tires from this store, install, flat repair and even the warranty process was painless. When I needed something, they took care of me as a customer

I definitely echo all of the awful reviews of this place. Most of the time you can’t even get anyone to look at you in the eye if you show up. Need a part from behind the counter? Good luck no one will help you. Have a quick question? Nope no one is there or willing to help.I would NEVER trust lazy people, and it’s clear this is what the whole Canadian tire culture is about!

My 73 year old father took his 90's van in for a code read for misfire. He gets a call from CT informing him his radiator had broke due to being old and brittle and if he wanted to pick up his van he would have to pay for a new rad and full labor. An additional charge of over $500.00! He complained to the Service manager and was told it was not their fault his rad was old and brittle. The mechanic took responsibility saying he broke the rad but my father is still forced to pay or he will not be able to drive his van home. I have been a faithful CT customer but I can honestly say I am very disappointed CT didn't even step up to take partial responsibility. My mother called CT head office and she was told to provide a receipt of the rad being replaced in the last 5 years. Seems simple to me, my father drives in without a rad problem, mechanic admits he breaks the rad, and my father is held hostage till paying to replace the rad. Is CT taking advantage of a senior?Oh ya, after $700.00+ bill van still has misfire! Nice work CT!Update;02/26/2020. Just spoke with Steve from the Automotive Customer service and he says they are waiting for My Father to provide a receipt to prove the rad is less then 5 years old before they will entertain looking at helping my father in any way. No empathy whatsoever! The moral compass of CT is broken!Next stop is Media, important other people are informed on how CT treats there elderly customers!

They convinced me to spend almost 3 grand when I only wanted tires.Later find out their work was the reason my engine seized.. lost my job because I chose this place for work on my car.and I am in debt with no vehicle....they also refused to refund my money.

****** Update Nov 4/22. On October 24, I wrote a letter to the Store Manager and to the Manager of the Auto Centre and hand delivered them to the store. I enclosed a copy of the original review in case neither of them had seen it and also contact information. Its been 11 days and I have not heard from either of them. What a way to run a business!!!! ******I am the representative, tutor and friend of a young Mexican single mother who has been in Canada for a year and is working very hard at a minimum wage job to support her two children and make a life for her family in Canada. She recently went to Canadian Tire for an oil change and mentioned that her front brakes were making a noise. She was given a written estimate and was asked to sign the estimate. It was her understanding that it was just an estimate and that she would be called before any work other than the oil change would be undertaken. Unfortunately, because of her limited English, she did not understand the fine print on the estimate that stated that her signature authorized the work to be completed. When she came to pick up her vehicle the bill was almost $700 and she was shocked. She didn't expect that the brakes would be done without a phone call to her and she would have postponed the work until she could save up the money. In my opinion, Canadian Tire took advantage of her not only being a woman but also having English as a second language. Unless Canadian Tire is willing to discuss what happened and adjust the amount of the bill, I have suggested that she move her automotive business to a more reputable repair facility.

If it was possible to give a 0 or negative star review, I would. My daughter brought my car in to have the check engine light diagnosed (I was out of Country). They returned the car with a list of repairs needed totalling $800. We have a seasoned mechanic in the family in Vancouver who looked at the list and said it was safe to drive the car to him in Vancouver for suggested repairs. After our mechanic in the family checked the car and hooked up the machine to tell him what the engine light was on for, it was determined that other than the burnt out turn signal light, none of the work suggested was needed and none of it would have fixed the check engine light regardless. This is not the first time Canadian Tire Auto Services has recommended questionable work or actually not repaired what was initially requested. I chose to post this review as this time we had confirmation from someone more knowledgeable than we are.
