Nova Inn Peace River

Wish I could post a negative rating... the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke, the room was worse. They don't have built in AC so they have portable AC units. They are loud and the exhaust pipe kept falling off, filling the room with hot air. Luckily I had tape in my truck. The room was very warm and it looked like they just turned on the AC unit before I arrive at 9pm. I complained at the front desk but the hotel was full. Room didn't cool down till about 2am. I had a hard time falling asleep due to the loud AC unit but I couldn't shut it off as the room was so hot. Woke up at 5am and checked out by 6:10am. They already ran out of most breakfast items by then. I had worked to do in peace river then i had to drive to grande prairie. I was so tired I had to pull over and have nap. I was getting sleepy while driving and was very concerned about falling asleep.

This place is a dump. It's disgusting and reeks of smoke. They messed up our room reservation. It was so hot and the air conditioner didn't work. The pull out couch in the room had mystery stains. The water would randomly stop and start while using the shower. Had to chase down employees if we needed anything. Lots of sketchy people hanging around and broken glass on the floor of common areas. I would give it 0 stars if i could.

First off, the staff are so friendly!! BUT unfortunately you can tell the company doesn’t give them much room to make the stay a good one. It was highly out of date and gloomy inside. The gym is basically a standard hotel room with all the furniture taken out and replaced with a few pieces of equipment; hopefully your the only one in there or there won’t be enough room to work out.Rooms were fine, took ten mins for water in the shower to get hot and the portable AC machine are just terrible to sleep a foot away from.The continental breakfast was just plain sad. I had to ask the front desk if there was breakfast due to the serving area being so bare. No fruit, fresh juice, hot breakfast. Basically had the option of a microwaveable breakfast burrito or a hard boiled egg. Oh but don’t worry they had lots of dry cereal….. will not be returning and would never recommend to anyone.

Room was not cleaned, lightbulbs burnt out, lazy cleaning staff.I had to ask multiple times for my room to be cleaned. When I arrived 4 lightbulbs were burnt out in my room and I had to get them myself and replace them. Do not stay here. I never will again.

Nice pice great room good price shame the fireplace did not work and the kitchen kettle was pretty nasty. Very peaceful nice place so close to Walmart and stores. The breakfast layout looked amazing in the morning.

Stayed with my wife while in town. Lost my booking so they upgraded us, very appreciated but still even a suite was not great. Very dated hotel, tremendously warm and the portable air conditioning was very loud. Would not stay here again unfortunately.

Nice spacious clean rooms complete with dishes for all your living out of a box culinary needs. Friendly staff always behind the desk to greet you. I would recommend staying here rather than shelling out 200 dollars at the best Western.

Room was not cleaned, there was hair on everything, doesn't have proper air conditioning. The shower curtains where literally rags like they where completely torn up and there was next to no hot water while trying to take a shower. The hallways are absolutely disgusting along with the elevator, the moldings are busted up in every place you look and the carpet looks like it needed to be replaced about 20 years ago. The entrance to the hotel was also filthy and reeked like cigarete smoke . We were not impressed by any means and will never stay here agian and I advise everyone to not stay here

The hotel is dated, I stayed for 4 days and had to ask for the room to be made up. The parking lot is ridiculously narrow for any this bigger than a Kia. When checking out I was told I could not be provided a receipt because I booked online. I stay in peace river 2 weeks a month. Definitely won't be back to the nova.
