Amazing spot. Maybe even better now? Last year when we drove past it on the way to another site, looked like the made it a lot more easily accessible for campers? Trail down is short but can be a slug depending on what you bring with you. Haven't had an experience with one during my visits but just he aware that bears do frequent the area. This spot does have a lot of mosquitoes, especially if you are closer to the water. Bring LOTS of bugspray and this experience will be a thousand times better for you. Stars at night here are absolutely incredible. Never seen anything like it as I'm mostly close to a major city. People do like to have a good time down here but are usually respectful. Enjoy!

Site Description: 27 defined campsites were developed in 2019, with 4 outhouses and a day use parking lot. This large sandy beach is very popular for day use, especially for local dog walkers. Due to the seasonal flooding, there are no tables or defined campsites here and camping is no longer allowed due to the completion of the 27 designated sites. Walk onto beach sites from parking lot, approx. 5 minute walk downhill. Please self register and pay the camping fees using the yellow collection box. A site operator will be by periodically to check the sites.Driving Directions: From Pemberton, stay on the HWY and drive through Mount Currie, follow directions to the Duffy Lake road. After you drive along this road for about 8km, you will see the lake and start going up a hill, turn right onto the In-Shuck-ch Forest Service Road. Follow this road for approx. 6km. Strawberry Point will be on the right hand side. Drive slowly and watch for industrial traffic.

Beautiful place but too many mosquitos for me, and the sites could use some leveling, but the outhouses were clean with fresh TP. Otherwise it's a breathtaking spot

Had a great time here. If you've been here previously you may have camped on the beach, but that has changed. There is a newer campsite and no camping on the beach allowed. Our friend's experienced some really bad mosquitos before we had arrived and said about 8 campsites left because of the pesky bugs! So bring good bug spray if they like to bite you :) They were no where to be seen on the water, which is where you'll want to be on a sunny day anyway. Outhouses were clean (except for the one that a guy tried to shower inside one?! I have questions for him). There was a large group blasting music equipped with strobe lights and the whole deal that kind of changed the in nature" vibe. They went until wee hours of the morning but luckily down at the beach you're removed in your tent and wasn't that disruptive (to us anyway). Paths down to the water are nice and the lake is amazing. The couple that let their large pit bull off leash and surprised us in the dark and started to get aggressive with our puppy left a bad taste in my mouth but other than that incident

The most mosquitos I've ever seen.Even if I had seen half the amount there was, it would still be by far the most mosquitos I've ever seen. I wish we took the other reviews more seriously because it really impacted our time.Other than the swarms of itch machines, the rest of the experience was really positive. The staff were nice. The road up was smooth and we had no problems driving up on a two wheel drive, low clearance car. The sites were well maintained, including the outhouses. Good sized spots with lots of tree coverage between sites for privacy. The water levels were higher than usual so there was limited beach space but the water was beautiful (minus mosquitos everywhere, even if you swam out 100 feet out they were still bugging you)Looking forward to going back later!

Lots of camp sites here, lots of shade from the trees, outhouse toilets. Great Lake access.

Beautiful beach basically to yourself. Gorgeous views of the mountains and forest. Sandy and rocky beach with tons of driftwood structures from forts right on the beach to a floating community dock complete with BBQ hammocks loungers and living trees you can paddle out too. A bit too cold for my liking. And unless you have a truck or suv expect to drive 20km down the gravel road which isn't super fun if your in a car

Strawberry Point is a gorgeous spot, it's the first government campsite on Lillooet Lake near the 7 km mark on the gravel road along the lake.Check the lake level online. The lower the water is the better to take advantage of the spectacular sand beach that goes for hundreds of meters along the shore.Lots of people use the logs and wood for quick structures and fun for the kids. For video, check out Season 6 of the 100" Episodes 1 and 2
