4Cats Arts Studio (Kitsilano)

We ended Up visiting as an event in my girlfriends staggette. We travelled all the way from Alberta, so we were so excited to be there. While we were there we were able to write these heartfelt notes on the back canvas that the bride was going to hang in her house once ready. We called the store and the very intelligent people who work here decided to leave our canvas outside, and forget about it, as a result the canvas was ruined. They told us that they will try and remake it...however the heartfelt notes are gone. This is totoally unacceptable. There is a 4 cats studio in the hometown city of the bride, but this location in kitsilano refuses to give us a refund. THEY RUINED THE PAINTING. THEY decided to leave it outside. Yet they are not willing to do anything about it. Only go here if u want to be disappointed. There are many other companies that offer this sort of services, choose another one. The customer service here is terrible.

This review is for the ADULT classes. I recently took an adult class at this studio and was extremely disappointed. Despite there being a theme for the class, it was basically INDEPENDENT painting (choose a picture and paint)! We were 'taught' brief 1 minute demonstrations of techniques at the beginning of class (that honestly were very- VERY basic). Classes are booked for 1 hour, which is not nearly enough time for an art class. In the end ZERO people finished their paintings and we were told we could do another series of classes or pay a drop-in fee of $25/class...

Very welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Our daughter loves going here. Awesome Ava and Hannah Banana show they they really enjoy what they are doing.

I did an art class at this studio in January and it was wonderful! I have no formal art training and she helped me to paint a beautiful Monet's water lilies painting that I love! The atmosphere was fun and relaxed and overall, I had a blast!

I had the best experience at this studio a few months ago! The staff are amazing and our paintings were completed in the scheduled amount of time which was impressive since none of us had ever painted before! The splatter room is a fun place to let loose. Will definitely be going back for another art class in the near future.

Booked a Sunday class for a group of 5 adults to make penguin mugs. Our curator Nick was very friendly and gave us a 10 minute instruction on how to make the mug & made sure to emphasize we had to have fun. The group had so much fun! Will be back & would definitely recommend for a group activity. Maybe an adult class. Lots of cute crafty gifts too.

The adult watercolour class was lots of fun and very relaxing! The teacher gave easy to follow instructions and let everyone work at their own pace - supporting some with more structure and allowing others to use their own creativity. Overall a really positive experience!

Canceled our summer camp week long booking with less than month's notice. Unprofessional - glad we won't be sending our kids there.

REVIEW: This is only for their adult classes. Attended a class recently and feel like this is the only place in the City (besides private classes) where you can get taught by people who know what they are doing. I have been to a lot of art spaces in the City that offer NO guidance- and when you ask don't even know how to help. I took longer then most to finish my painting, so I came a few extra times but the price was good and the staff flexible and understanding. Will definitely do this again.

I brought a group of seniors to 4cats for a holiday party and we had the best experience! No one in the group of 9 had worked with clay before so it was new territory for everyone. Our instructor, Marielle, was amazing. She was so patient, very clear with her instruction, and made it fun and informative. The group also loved the finished product - we made mugs! We will definitely be coming back after our great experience.
