Chesley Grocery Store

Its a small town grocery store. Fairly well stocked. Good selection of fresh vegetables. But the pricing is significantly higher than stores in bigger centers.

Very convenient location for last minute needs! Also there lunch menu is so great! After lunch hours they still sell the best wedges and chicken! Keep it up!

I like the feel of this little gem. Staff are super friendly and it just has that nice, small town feel. Priced on the higher end but I am OK with that based on it being the only grocery store in town and just a real good feel.

Well maintained and they offer freshly cooked food and some wraps. Not bad options.

Always a great visit to this small town grocery store. They may not always have everything your looking for but they still have an amazing selection. I love that they make a lot of baked goods right in the store.

Chrimney jickets. For starters, I mosied on in the store to refill water jugs, but to my surprise, the system was to “bring your jugs back, and scoop up some others in return for a whopping $15. $15… for (what did I get?) 3 used, decrepit jugs caked with fingerprints from another folk, and all appeared very dirty and grim. I was desperate and needed to hydrate, however, I was sad and upset that I chose to settle for them. The water tasted like it was purified through a rusty ol haggerd and weathered septic system and I felt I may have contracted a new form of Covid. The store itself was also a little miserable as the pricing for anything there was almost double. Come on now… selling yucky water jugs and charging $15, ugh. I guess I should have just filled them with the saugeen River water and boiled it myself.

This store is what all small town grocery stores should be. Although you will not find all the brands or varieties you could get in a large city store, the selections in every department are very good for a store of this size. Henry the butcher is awesome (try his store made sausage, especially the garlic ones). They even have a very good variety of gluten free offerings. The owners (Peter and Jacqui Knipfel) are great; hands-on and very customer centered. They also have a great little deli.
