yes this place is horrible when I paid rent on time I was told to put it in the box which goes directly in the office several times I was notified of not paying rent. which I know for a fact rent was paid . when I went to find out she would jus say she never got it which I know she was lying, eventually I got and eviction notice of not payment of rent . crocks Dorthy cook is evil

This place is the worst. They give parking tickets out to selected vehicles no matter if you are a tenant there or a visitor. They actual give parking tickets to certain tenants and other tenants get left alone. I do not think that is fair that some people get parking tickets and some dont. I am determined to figure out how to send a complaint about this to the mpp.

As a former tenant, here is what you need to know. They will rent to you and not tell you about their pest issues. They have nests of cockroaches (2 kinds) all over the building and when you complain they will offer to spray. When the roaches return they will tell you that it is your fault for leaving water. They will take no responsibility in fixing any of your concerns. There are also generations of mice that will frequent your home. (Again your fault). You will see the roaches in the hallways on the walls and yes they will walk into your home uninvited. Then if your money changes they will increase your rent to market rent and evict you when you fall behind because under their special legislation they are not required to go back to the actual amount owing based on your income. So you can be on welfare and be owing over 7,000 for 6 months rent when your rent is supposed to be 200 or something. Also don't forget they will not allow tenant to attend board meeting to voice their complaint because these are secret. And last but not least they will call the City to fine their own low-income tenants and even have their cars towed for parking in the visitors parking unless you can find security to give you a pass. Oh yeah and I spoke with the cleaners and they haven't cleaned the rugs in over ten years I guess vacuuming is enough to clear the nastiness. Oh and don't forget they are not required to clean the walls, even if they are full of blood and dirt. No-one on the board is even Native but this is supposed to be Native housing. Dorthy Cook is a racist and hates her tenants and sometimes she is very nice. Bipolar? But yes tenants have petitioned to have her fired a few times but she is still somehow there. They keep their money that is supposed to be for community events but yet this place is listed as a Non-Profit Organization who collect grants from the Government and gets Tax Breaks. There are no community nothing. It's not worth it to live here. We had to throw out so much expensive furniture when we moved because they were infested.

Dorothy Cook seems to be the cancer at this location!!!I don't even live hear but here names comes up in a negative way from residence now and past!!!!
