Wonderful cashiers and some very helpful people in their departments. That is the only thing that is okay in the place. Otherwise just another typical kootenays small town business that makes you wonder why you didn't just order online.

I do like Home Hardware for the most part. Great selection, prices are fair, employees are nice to deal with. I helped my father in law buy a fridge and the sales associate wasn't very helpful and could care less to help him find a better price. She in fact tried to sell him the floor model. I told him to stay away from floor models and go with new. The delivery guys were a complete joke. They could care less about helping in any way and me and my boys had to take over and move the fridge in and deal with everything. Maybe HH needs to invest in either better training for their delivery drivers" or hire an outside contractor to deal with these matters."

I don't like shopping here, but have very few options. Everything is pretty standard for a Home Building store, except for the help desk. Quite a few of the old guys 'working' there want to spend their time visiting. They will try hard to avoid eye contact with customers in case they will be asked something. If you do ask, they most likely won't know, or at least pretend not to.I sure miss the knowledgeable staff at the Home Hardware in the central interior where I used to live.

Creston Home Hardware Building Centre
The only real place in Creston to get hardware and decorating items. They have a large selection of hardware and the staff is always helpful. They also carry a wide variety of decorative items for the house and yard. Overall their prices are reasonable given the lack of competition.
