The doctor was great, so was the nurse. Got registered around 12:30am and was out by 1am ish.

I do not find this children's emergency department helpful at all. They make you feel bad for worrying about your baby, say derogatory comments, and the worst? They refuse to test anything. They just dismissively give a diagnosis (even though it contradicts previous diagnoses), and then don't even look at your baby or listen to you when you give new details/evidence. So disgusted with this place. The province needs to give this hospital more funding before someone dies from this negligent and unscientific way of conducting medical care.

I've had my child to emerg twice this week for an emergent issue I have a child who is screaming and crying in pure agony she isnt eating and she is missing school and i was told twice to give her advil and Tylenol while after she was given Tylenol she was screaming and crying and holding her ears in pain. I left crying myself after I advocated for my child and still got no where this is not okay.

Children are a definite priority at this hospital. Wonderful people work there! My only wish is that the chairs for the overnight parents were more comfortable to sleep in! Other than that I have a lot of respect for this place, my daughter has has many surgeries in her young life and shes always been cared for at an exceptional level.

I have been to Janeway emergency about 5 times. And all this time I have been treated with dignity and respect. Today I brought in my son in the morning hours,we found a nurse on duty in the emergency who was not nice at all to us. My son had the stomach flu so he had thrown up more than ten times prior to the visit. She acted very rush through out the triage and was disgusted with him. During triage he threw up again into a bag I held to his mouth. She couldn't even wait for him to get done instead she told him to get on the scale before he was done. I felt so stigmatized. Why become an emergency nurse if you can't watch a patient puke? Why come to work so you can rush very sick patients so as to get done with your work quickly? Other nurses at Janeway Emergency have been considerate and so kind.I was soooo disappointed today.Luckily we were seen by a lady South African doctor who was amazing and got him better in no time making the visit worth while.

All of my children have been born there. Every time they had a problem I brought them there. Every child specialist is there and every needs for ny children are there. Outside of a few minor problems, everything has gone as well as could be expected

My four-year old and I stayed here for 10 days and we couldn't have asked for a better staff and service. They were kind, warm, aligned with each other and everything you'd want. The facilities were really nice too. There's a playroom, arts and crafts room, as well as portable entertainment stations. The food for my child was also very appropriate. The cafeteria food was well...uh... not healthy and can take a toll on a visitor after 10 days.

Go in with sick kids. Wait. Go in them get sent to x-ray. Great, check for pnemonia and all that. Come back drop off x-ray. Wonder after 30 mins why no one took it. Doors open so I ask (after they call 2 new names) sorry sir we can't take the x-ray papers back cause no new rooms. So you gave away the room I was in and took in new ppl after I dropped them off and was waiting 30 mins again? They're 2 small kids and it's 10 30 pm.Edit: after few mins doctor called us to the registration area and gave us prescription. She didn't have to do that as the rooms were full, nice of her. Thanks alot. Saved us some time to get the medicine tonight.
