Sanagan's Meat Locker - Gerrard India Bazaar

This is my go-to place for baguettes and sausages. I’ve been going for years and they never disappoint! They have a great selection and I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from Sanagan’s.It gets quite busy during peak hours, especially on weekend afternoons and it’s a small store so you’ll often see line ups. They tend to sell out of their bestsellers (especially the baguettes) so go in the morning if you want to beat the crowd.

We’ve been shopping local since before the pandemic and Sanagan’s has always been our go to location for quality meats, eggs, and various accompaniments. The team at Sanagan’s Gerrard are simply excellent - knowledgeable, creative, and supportive if you’re wondering how to best cook something or interested in something new. There’s a wide array of products and everything is of top notch quality. I personally think this is the best butcher this side of the Don River. If you’re able to visit this location, do check them out!

Not sure what it is with this place.I live right around the corner. Try to purchase things but the staff make it so difficult to support this business.On 3 separate occasions I’ve visited this store and had very poor customer service. Today was the final straw to post this. I can’t say I’ll be back.The staff behind the counter has attitude and clearly doesn’t want to be there. As a fellow business owner, I’d recommend that you invest in some customer service training. You have a great selection and the convenience for me is second to none, however, I can’t bear to spend my hard earned dollars at a store where the staff makes me feel inadequate.Great meat quality and selections for sure, but just be prepared to deal with whatever mood the staff is in or if they are rushing to their plans after work and your coming in 30 mins before close, expect to be treated like a nuisance.

This place makes me genuinely happy to visit - the product is beautifully displayed, high quality, and very reasonably priced for what it is. It is a small store so it helps to know what you’re looking for when you go there - but I found the people there very friendly and helpful.

I don't buy meat often, but when I do, I want to go somewhere like Sanagan's where the meat is ethically sourced. However, the few times I have been in here ... and I have no idea why, because I don't speak other than to say Please" and "Thank you" ... the staff are noticeably rude (unhappy).In response to the owner's response: There is nothing to email you about. I think my review is clear: Your staff are very unpleasant every time I come in

They have the best lentil salad: you must try it. We enjoyed a meat pie from them as well. The staff were nice and gave us a free pepperoni stick. Their sausages were ok. And we liked the hotdogs they sell there.

We love it and are a loyal customer. The prices are more in higher end but still affordable. The quality of goods is great. The customer service as well. They friendly, helpful if one has no clue, and polite. Our family visits the place almost every other day. Additionally they have some kind of points system if you give your phone number that could reduce your bill after a while

Just bought the Ham Jambon de Paris and have eaten the entire 200 gm amount for lunch - it is SO DELICIOUS!!!

Just what you want from a local butcher - fresh meats and variety.

Fantastic store. Product is second to none. Some of the staff is really helpful with suggestions - portions, how to prepare...Highly recommended.
