Crawl space waterproofing. Giovanni and his colleagues did a great job. High quality work, easy to talk to, cleaned up after the job. Giovanni went above and beyond. He explained how the waterproofing system works and answered my questions regarding my sump pump. I would highly recommend Giovanni and IBS.

Matt is the greatest. we had lots of problems at new home and he did answer our questions enough and helped us a lot. Our crawl space is like a brand new. Most of staffs were very nice and responsible. and they did clean before they left. Spray foam is reasonable comparing than other companies.Just one thing which we were questioning was a sump pump which they installed is manufactured more than 10 years ago. but other than that, Highly recommended.

Excellent communication and service. The quote was accurate, and the job was done on time and to a very high standard. Chris visited my home and laid out the scope of the job in advance which was appreciated. My crawl space is greatly improved and looks excellent. Highly recommend.

This is an outstanding company. The quote I received from Chris was probably the most professional I have ever received, It was complete with photos showing the work that needed to be done. They recommended two new sump pumps be installed, which is what I had enquired about. He also recommended insulating the basement with blown in insulation,. The crew turned up on time and explained what to expect for the day. They were professional and pleasant and properly equipped with correct protective equipment. A couple of days later someone from the company returned to take photos of the work done, and emailed them to me, so that I could keep them for insurance purposes. The work was done well and they cleaned up after themselves,. . Now it is winter and I am really noticing that my ground floor is warmer since the insulation was put in. Also, Chris told me about the BC Hydro rebate, which in my case is quite a significant amount of money. His estimate of what he thought the rebate would be was pretty close. I got more than he thought I would, I would highly recommend this company

I started a quote process with Island Basement Systems in November 2022. It’s now July 2023 and I still have no quote despite two visits and multiple emails back and forth.

very happy with this company. First of all during this pandemic he came wearing his face mask back in March. He actually went under my house and determined the issues . Other contractors didn't wear a mask and wondered around my house telling me I should sell it. It would cost thousands and thousands of dollars. Their crew was very proffecianal and clean. they did structural repair , and a clean space heavy duty liner. highly recommend this company. As well easy to contact with questions leading up to the job.

We had work done on our front foundation wall this fall, the second job we have had Island Basement come and do for us. The level of work was beyond compare, Peter and his crew were totally awesome! All of the steps were explained to us and the work was completed on time. I would not hesitate to recommend Island Basement Systems !

We were given a quote for work on our crawlspace, but the first day they showed up to do the work, the price went up $2,000. They said they had to replace framing, which they had not realized before when they originally came to do the estimate. This put them behind on our work, was supposed to take 2 days max. They then had to rebook us which took a few weeks. We had listed our house for sale. The buyers hired a home inspector. The home inspector had concerns about the framing that IBS had done. Fortunately they had not spray foamed yet as they were behind on our job. Our buyers would have had to remove all the spray foam to fix the problem. They had good reviews online so I thought they knew what they were doing. It all worked out in the end but it concerns me that this job was not done correctly the first time and that the price went up so drastically from the original quote.
