There are not too many large fabric stores in the Toronto area (especially the suburbs), so this is a destination not to be overlooked. It is one of the larger stores that carry just about everything needed for your projects. They regularly offer good sale discounts to customers, and extra savings for members.Surface parking and public transit is readily accessible.

Nice, but small selection of dress-making fabrics, I didn't interact with the staff at all. Very expensive, I didn't end up buying anything because its $17-$30/M for very average quality fabrics.More suited for other projects than dress making.

Everything is so pricey. Not a good selection of fabrics on sale either.

I went to this store first on Feb. 22, 2022. There was an Asian lady helped me. She was really friendly and detail oriented. Before she cut the fabric, she always made sure there no flaws or dirt on it. And double check the quantity and price she wrote on the sheet. I was very happy with her. We chatted a little bit of fabric collections, and I showed her my works, too. After she has done my fabrics, I took all the fabrics and continued exploring the store. After a while, I found some Batik close to the measuring table. There was a Indian female staff at the table. I asked her if I can put my fabric on the table while I was exploring those Batiks. With her permission, I put the fabric on the table and continuing shopping. About 5 minutes later, I found 6 more fabrics, she helped me with measuring and cutting. But she gave me a big surprise when she was doing her work.1. She measured the fabric in a wrong way, which made measurement not true the length I wanted. (Both white and red valentine's fabric)2. She tore the fabric instead of cutting through. (red valentine's fabric)3. She wrote the incorrect quantity and price on the sheet, I had to ask her to double check. (white paper sheet, black circles with highlighters)There are even more worse things I found out when I got home.Someone wrote the 15 on my grey fabrics. I left those fabrics only 5 minutes while I was shopping the Batik. If you look through the Indian staff's handwriting on the sheet, it matches the handwriting on the grey fabrics. ( check the handwriting on grey fabrics with the paper sheet - orange highlighter is more clear)What a nasty!Suggestions: If you go shopping in this store, pick up the staff for help carefully.I will forward this post to the customer service. and will share the updated information once I get from them.

Sooooo racist! I was out in Markham visiting a friend when I stopped a Fabricland—I needed to return some thread that I had bought 24hrs ago at a Pickering Fabricland. I came in with the receipt and asked for a refund the East Indian woman at the counter said they didn’t return thread. I told her that it did not state that I’m the receipt or anywhere in the store. She still refused to refund the item. I left and immediately drove to the Pickering store, I went to the counter and asked for a refund which they gave me with no hesitation. If you look at my return receipt you will see that the only thing the store doesn’t return are cut items of cloth—which makes sense. This woman was a nasty little racist. I won’t be going to Fabricland ever again.

This fabric land location on mccowan road has a manager who is rude and even the saff are rude. They make their own law in there. Sometimes they are just standing talking they wknt even ask if you need help. If there is a roll of fabric which is almost finished and 10 cm is left, you still has to pay for it . Here we are paying for our membership and its nit everyday we are using it. I remember when one lady told the store manager if she can have the little piece for free the response she gave the customer was very unprofessional.
