I made a brief visit to the Agate Beach - kicked off my shoes, rolled up my pantlegs, and scampered around on the edge of the surf. Wished I could spend a week camped at the campground beside the beach. No surfer, me, but I got video of a surfer enjoying the beautiful wave conditions. Wild beauty on the edge of the continent just beyond Kilometer 0 of the Trans Canada Highway

Mayer lake, east beach, north beach, tow hill, agate beach.... So many naturally beautiful places with naikoon. Campgrounds at Misty Meadows in Tlell and at agate beach just before tow hill.

I have never had so much fun in a provincial park before. We hiked Tow Hill, and we got to see Alaska since it was a clear enough day. We spent hours at the blow hole playing in tidal pools and watching the blow hole blow. North beach is amazing! You are allowed to drive on the beach, and are allowed to have fires. We also went into the ocean in our bathing suits and played in the waves. I highly recommend taking a stop here.

Wide open beaches, smooth sand in most with the exception of Agate Beach, which is full of millions of small rocks.Tow Hill is a good hike up a wooden boardwalk with a view toward Agate Beach at the top.The blow-holes are amazing, especially if you see when tides is coming in, but the surrounding area is just fabulous as the rocks have many small tidal pools that are alive with various sea life. The rocks also have weathered by hundreds of years of storms, which give them unique characteristics

These islands are all so beautiful and the parks are well-maintained. I really enjoyed chatting with some locals who were out preparing public use areas for the summer tourist season. I have so much respect for the Haida people and this area, I can't wait to go back.
