Not a passport office. If you are coming here to apply for a passport please be aware they can assist with your application but beyond that they are the same as a mail in application. Expect longer processing times and no options to expedite. Staff are able to explain their role and I'm certain would be as helpful as they can be.

The staff were very kind, informative, and patient. It was very pleasant that they were willing to accept me in on a walk-in! They were very patient as they made sure that all of my information was filled out correctly before proceeding further - helping me correct any errors that they did find with my paperwork. Definitely one of the better Service Canada Centres out there.

I went here in the morning to apply for a passport. The staff was efficient, friendly and thorough. They repeatedly checked my information to ensure that it was correct, I paid $160 for 10 years passport fees and they told me when to expect the passport to be ready in mail. The benefits of applying for passport here that I don’t have to pay for mailing. The entire visit took about 15 minutes. Amazing

Over the years I've lived in Hinton, I had heard some shade thrown to this location of Service Canada - so I went in prepared for a difficult experience. All of the previous comments I had encountered must have been for a different time, a different staff base perhaps. The experience we had here was exactly what I hope to get from a Federal Government location: friendly, professional, a quick and thorough passport application. I even left with a podcast recommendation, as we had a nice conversation with the representative who happened to enjoy the same sort of pods as us.I was very happy with the experience, and will be returning here whenever I need Service Canada's offerings in the future.

We need an Indigenous Service Canada here in Edson.

The absolute worst!! Go to Edmonton. Small town folk with big chips on shoulder. #godcomplex!!Can you give negative ratings?!?
