Wonderful and quiet spot. The trails are rough so wear good shoes or boots. Plenty of bug spray would be handy also! Not exactly stroller friendly.

It looks like a wonder land with all the natures. Forest, flowers, lake, boardwalk. In spring, there is a scent of roses in the forest, when hiking in the quiet forest and listening the birds chirp, feel very relaxed.

This is one of our most favorite places to go during summer and fall. Great fishing place (large- and small-mouth bass, sunfish, catfish), no need to register to book a time slot. However one must display its Halton Conservation Membership Card (yearly pass) on the car's front window, to show that the payment was made. If you do not have the pass, there is a payment stand near the entrance. Our kids and us love watching big and small turtles in the lake there. One should be careful not to catch a turtle, while fishing, since there are lots of them there. We had caught once a turtle, and had to take out the little hook out of it and let it go back to the lake, thanks God it was all okay with the turtle. The trail is only 2 km long, but it is so scenic, so beautiful, there was even a movie in the making in this area this spring, and I understand why. great views and nature. There is a public washroom there, proves useful, when you are visiting for more than 2-3 hours there with kids. Picnic tables are available, great for mini family dinner. Have not been there for 2-3 weeks, and already miss it.

Nice to relax by the lake. It's nice to walk on soft pine needles, but be prepared for mosquitoes. There are lots of mosquitoes on RE04 trail, not too bad along RE02.

Honours system for parking payment.Consider this a nice quick trail hike. Very easy terrain. Went around 9am so just a small handful of people around. Very low considering there is not gated entrance / timed passes needed (this is during the COVID-19 pandemic of course).Scenery is mainly foliage and marshland. Still very beautiful though.

Such a beautiful , scenic hike with so many things to look at and different changes of scenery. The boardwalk is gorgeous and looks like something from jurassic park. The lake is amazing and i spent s long while just drawing and walking and heron fly back and forth from one side to the other. It’s my favourite spot to be honest. although over $10 is crazy.

Good place to hangout with friends and family.I won’t suggest for fishing personally.Pros:-1. Lots of place available ( quite places )2. Woods and it’s nice feel to give like forest3. Perfect for camping and so into nature.4. Not many peoples around.5. Parking is available.Cons:-1. Entrance fee is little high( not required in personnel opinion )2. Lots of mosquitos3. It’s a fishing spot but very less fish.

Absolutely stunning.... millions of trilliums in bloom along the trail. What a marvelous surprise!

What a beautiful spot! We got there early morning when it was still cool and there was perhaps two other people besides us in the area. There are a few paths that take you around the lake. A few of the paths were deeper in the woods and filled with mosquitoes but the trees were awesome to look at. As long as you kept moving, they seem to stay off of you. There are a lot of varieties of birds here. We also saw a snake which was our first in a very long time! There are about 6 picnic tables that are available to the public. There is also a washroom near which was somewhat surprisingly clean for a park facility. The parking lot probably holds about 25-30 cars. We saw quite a few people taking their dogs for a walk here. This location is part of the Halton Conservation Parks and as such will ask that you pay online for your visit.

After having been to almost every other Halton Conservation area, we left this spot less than impressed. Trails overgrown, boardwalk in need of maintenance, doesn’t live up to the standard of the other locations. Seems like forgotten stepchild for Halton Conservation.
