Massage Addict

I am 32 weeks pregnant and new to the area. I booked in a prenatal massage because my TMJ has been bothering my shoulder and I’ve had a bit of swelling in my right hand. Here’s my experience:1. They had issues submitting to my benefits.2. I filled out two forms online before my appointment like they had asked me to do in a email. There was no point because the secretary had to ask again for my benefits information. Seemed unorganized. She was, however very pleasant to deal with.3. John I believe was the name of the RMT. His approach to a massage wasn’t my favorite. He seemed to stay in the same spot the majority of the time. The rubbing was fast and not relaxing at all. I had told him my shoulder and neck were sore because I suffer from TMJ and the first half of the massage he did Not work on any of those spots. I had to ask him to and even then did not touch the top of my shoulder or neck. When done he asked how it was. I responded with,” yeah, it wasn’t the greatest but thank you.” To which he responded with well you are 32 weeks pregnant. Instead of asking why… needless to say, it is the next day now and I am in extreme pain.Overall, I would not recommend going to him for a prenatal massage. Worst experience I have ever had receiving a massage.

Just wanted to share my experience today! I had an appointment with Kalin ( I hope I spelled that correct ) was absolutely great 10 out of 10 experience. She was very nice, friendly, made sure I was feeling ok throughout the whole process, she really cares about her clients and really helping them! I instantly felt so much better after seeing her and I will continue to be a client of hers from here on out!

I've been pampering myself with frequent massages, especially at more spa-like venues across the city; however, the therapist at Massage Addict set a new bar. She gave me the BEST massage I've ever received. She easily identified problem areas on my radar and even located ones I wasn't aware I had. By the time I left, I was so relaxed and I had no upper back pain. There is no substitute for expertise and, clearly, the therapist at Massage Addict knows her stuff. This will be my new go-to place.

Welcoming Staff and always looking to help you with providing options and services as per your convenience. My Therapist was John and he is so good at it. How he addresses your issues are evident from results that you get within couple of weeks. Great place to relax and calm your mind. Highly recommended.

Facility was great, they direct bill and it was clean.. but I was not overly impressed with my experience. My masseur was condescending despite having told him that it was not my first year working from home or massage yet he mansplained a lot. It was also supposed to be deep tissue with a few minutes of cupping at the end, instead it was majority cupping with a mere massage at the end. I have also never had a massage where the person adjusted themselves, bump into me or cleared their throats; I would never book with him again - would consider one more try with a masseuse..

I'm just going to concentrate one ONE issue and that is your motto. Experience quality therapeutic massage without the high price tag." This is a blatant lie! You have the HIGHEST price tag for a massage in GTHA! $124 with tax is high when the insurance company generally pays $88
