Wood Floors and Stairs Direct.

We have purchased wood flooring from Tom for two of our homes now. He is fair and honest, and we had a great experience both times. Added bonus, his prices were very competitive for direct to consumer sales.

Very happy with my natural white oak flooring. It was sort of a special order but Tom managed to get what I wanted. So pleased.

First, I am a senior. I needed some (150 sq ft) clear oak flooring (not in vogue anymore)for a small bedroom. After searching many stores I found this operation who had 2-3 year old written off stock". It was $4.92 a sq ft; but he had 220 sq ft or 1225.00$ tax incl. I was in the area (last Friday) so my wife and i when to look at the material - it would do the job and it was in stock - although more than I needed. He confirmed the price $1225.00 tax incl. Saturday morning I rented a truck; drove to Dundas ( from Oakville) to get the flooring. He does his " I don't write the quotes down; the price is $5.57 sq ft ( he did his calculator calculation trick) it is 1225.00 plus tax" So here I am; have driven to Dundas; rental a truck ... I argued; he knew he had me over a barrel; so I paid his the premium. End of story. BTW he did offer to take the material back AFTER I had loaded my truck! Summary: My fault - not getting a written quote. I tell you this story so you will get any discussions in writing at this business.*************I might add; for me its not able the money as he seems to think; its about integrity. So forgive me

This place has great quality products, good selections and excellent prices. The owner and son are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this company for all of your flooring needs.

I was very happy that I found the Wood Floors and Stairs Direct website and was even more pleased when visiting the showroom. The showroom was nothing fancy but had all the wood samples anyone could want to look at. Tom, the owner was very happy to explain all the different woods and different grades of wood. He was very informative, knowledgeable and upfront about his products. I appreciated his advice and I am very happy with the flooring I choose. I was pleased with the price and the quality also.,It looks wonderful in my family room and Brandon's team did a great job with the install.Thank you again Tom for all your help. I did a complete home restoration and shopped extensively for my hardwood floor. I needed two thousand square feet of high quality floor so I invested the time to research. I went to all of the biggest vendors. I ended up driving an hour out of Toronto (and away from a million flooring places) to buy the flooring from Here. The experience was first rate. Tom is extremely knowledgeable and has quality product. You are not going to get bad advice or garbage product. The price was excellent and Tom was spot on about the time it would take to fill the order. I had a situation where lead time for flooring was getting very long and prices were going through the roof for all building materials. I per-ordered from Tom, locked in a very good price and he stored it for me until I needed it. He also arrange for very reasonable shipping.During this whole process I actually changed the species and size of flooring after the order was cut and then extended the amount of storage time I needed significantly. One call to Tom and it was all no problem. You are dealing with a very knowlegable owner and a nice person. I wont buy hardwood anywhere else.Michael

Me and my wife began our relationship with Tom in the fall of 2022. We knew to provide plenty of advance notice so we'd have the time to pick out the right material, ensure stock availability, and arrange a capable installer for the work. These are unprecedented times and you cannot rely on suppliers to make miracles happen based on your emergency.Tom is an old school guy. He may appear rough around the edges, but I have absolute trust in his integrity and dedication to his business. If you are clear and up front about what you want, he will deliver. We even had a bit of a scare with regards to product availability close to a week before the install, but was pleasantly surprised to learn that Tom had already previously ordered, and secured the material, and may have not realized. A good laugh shared by all!Product selection was plentiful, Tom walked us through all of the available options before selecting a quality, yet reasonable engineered hardwood in naked oak. His installer recommendation was frankly the icing on the cake. The two make a great pair.Tom, knowing you read all of these review, please accept my thanks and wishing you continued success. If I could leave 0 stars I would NEVER EVER deal with this company Tom the owner will lie straight to your face and over promise and not deliver STAY AWAY if you want to deal with an honest business. He is rude and unreasonable. We ordered flooring in May and we’re told it would be 3-4 weeks. Did not hear anything called in July not hearing anything from them and were told it will be another 3-4 weeks so and would be in production August 16 2022. Now are told another 2 weeks but we called the manufacturer and they said another 13 weeks. We now have construction being done and no hardwood
