Chemainus Town Laundry

We've been travelling throughout Western Canada for over 6 years and this is the cleanest and most well maintained facility we've come across. Enjoy.

Wonderful lady runs this laundromat. Get there early as it closes around 6. Didn't have soap and was lent enough for my laundry by the lady that runs it. So nice.

The red hair laundry lady always tells people it is okay for strangers to take out other people's laundry and put them in the dirty unsanitized bins. This has happened to me twice and the first time I asked her to please not let other people touch my laundry because when it finishes I am usually there, everytime it happens there are other machines not in use and seriously who wants some stranger touching your clean clothes with hands you don't know are clean? The second time (tday) I got really mad because she let it happen again and told the man to do it. Why do you need to use the dryers I am using when there are 3 not occupied? The most time I have left my laundry unattended with the machine not running is 20 minutes. I have never had issues when she is not there. I have witnessed many people having this issue and worse like their clothes not being completely dried or there clean clothes getting dirty from the bins. They said because I wasn't wearing a mask (I had one on hand and they were not either) that I shouldn't care about some stranger touching my clothes. Covid or no covid Not touching someone's personal belongings is common human decency and shouldn't have to be fought for. When you go to any establishment you should be able to trust the place of business and I recommend if you don't want your things touched don't go to this laundromat especially when the laundry attendant is around.

Very nice clean Place machines work well needs a change machine know where to get change have difficulty getting change for the machines definitely need a change machine

Most beautifull town around nanaimo , washer machine were clean and the place too. Definitely would recommend.

Convenient location, unfortunately closed for business.

Clean! Only used the dryers but they worked well only complaint is no change machine as advertised but the clean factor and the fact that all machines were in working order more then made up for that.
