More than 2 years ago I sent a Quad FM3 to him at the recommendation of Dada Electronics ( who do stuff for Quad vintage amps etc ). After calling him many times about progress - I have given up. I wish it were otherwise but don't give your equipment.Update May 2023. No longer at the address listed it is a new condo being built.

I took Phase Linear components in fora full restoration and Leon did a patch job in terms of repair even though the price paid was for a full restoration .Amplifier never worked in class A because bias was set to run cool meaning low sound quality.He had no confidence in his own work in making amplifier work to original specs.Equipement failed within a year again of repair even with bias not set properly.Typical gaslighting and delays that others are noting in this forum I would never recommend this technician under any circumstances.

8 months with my Revox, now does not answer or return calls. Whenever I managed to speak with him, he said he was working on it. No surprise his local is filled with equipment, people must have given up on him. BEWARE

I left 7 vintage Hi-Fi components for Leon to repair, with a Revox A700, a Tandberg TCD-440A and a Nakamichi 700 amongst them. He has been keeping them for over five years. Last time I went to his shop the place was deserted and he was nowhere to be seen. I am now awaiting a decision from the small claims court to recover $9,000 from this crook.

After 3 years of putting off an old man for a simple repair, wants full price. Not a mensch. Didn't even care that he's not well. We left the equipment there in the end. Not recommended.
