Barton Bath + Floor

I have worked in customer service for years now, from retail, restaurants, and the financial industry. I feel like I am extremely understanding and lenient when it comes to customer service, and I try to see both perspectives of a situation before leaving a negative review. However after my experience at Barton Bath & Floor, I feel obligated to leave one.Let me start by saying that the show room is gorgeous. They have beautiful pieces and you can tell everything is very high quality. Now picture this: the scene from Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts is sent to buy herself some nice clothes, and the sales associates don’t give her the time of day or take her seriously because they automatically assume she can’t afford to be there. That is exactly how myself and the other person I was shopping with were made to feel during our entire interaction with the sales associate (who I will not name).I do not doubt that the gentleman was very knowledgeable about the products, had the experience to do the job, and maintained himself in a professional manner. However his sales techniques and customer service were extremely poor. He approached us and asked if we needed assistance (good start). I said yes and gave a few details as to what I was looking for explaining what I had in mind and what in the showroom had peaked my interest. Every single time I asked “how much is this” or “what is the price range of this item” (as I am aware that with customizing the prices can vary), my question was always responded with “well it’s very expensive”. I didn’t ask if it was expensive or not, I asked how much. If no price could be given, this would be the time a half decent sales associate might say “well what is your price range/budget?” And proceed to offer suggestions that meet my criteria. No questions were ever asked. Every question I had was met with a blank stare before replying back with the same “well it’s very expensive” response, in a very monotone voice. I think I asked the price of about 6 items and never once got a dollar amount reply. I should mention that the associate himself stated that the pieces I was asking about didn’t really offer customizations so it shouldn’t have been too difficult to give a price range, or perhaps say, let me look in to that for you.I eventually had a formal quote written up so I could finally know the price of things, and the one item I was most interested in actually fit my budget and I loved it! But sadly I will try and find something similar elsewhere as the experience was just so terrible I never want to go back.Perhaps the gentleman just had a long day and didn’t feel like putting in the effort for the customer, perhaps he looked me up and down and thought I couldn’t afford anything in the store, maybe he just thought I was far too young to know what I was talking about and didn’t take me seriously, or maybe he would have taken me seriously had I been a man, or with a man. Regardless, I was very disappointed with how myself and my shopping partner were made to feel. I maintained a pleasant attitude with the sales associate during our entire interaction as that is my nature. I thanked him for the quote and walked out the door promising to never go back.

Bill at Barton Bath has been amazingly patient and helpful over a bathroom reno that took way too long to commence. Over many months he handled every challenge… changing requests due to COVID, supply shortage, contractors, etc in a professional manner. He provided workable and affordable solutions. Thank you Bill.

I have purchased two vanities from here and had great service and quality product everytime. Aaron was super helpful and able to locate the style of vanity I wanted with the specific measurements I needed. He was even able to honour a quoted price after there was an unexpected price increase with the vanity. I trust their knowledge and suggestions and have been happy with the end result each time.

I had to wait 8 weeks for my order which they promised would only be 1-2 weeks and then once I received my bathtub the fiberglass was damaged on the side and they refused to exchange it for me claiming that there was no way it could have been damaged prior to me receiving it and it must have been my fault. I was trying to support small businesses by purchasing here, sadly I feel like I got scammed. Never again!

Even though I wasn't able to make a purchase from them, Aaron provided me with some truly excellent customer service. Other companies would have given me the brush off, but Aaron gave me some great information and was really kind. I know that when my budget permits it, I will come back and give these guys my money - totally worth it!

Just finished a bathroom renovation. My contractor put me in touch with Barton Bath + Floor for tile and potentially more for the renovation. We visited once to get a sense of direction and had pretty good service, but didn't get a ton of direction, so we made an appointment to meet with Aaron.When we came back the second time, we were blown away. Aaron didn't take notes (which made me nervous), but when he sent me the details of our potential order with pricing, everything was exactly what we discussed and priced VERY well compared to some other shopping we did. We ordered everything (every single thing) from Barton B+F. Aaron pushed us in the proper direction for decision-making so that we could make all the decisions we had to make confidently.Barton B+T even convinced me to buy a modern, back-lit, soft-light mirror. It kind of looks like a giant Ipad. I wasn't sure about it, but for the price they had them, I couldn't say no. It looks SO GOOD in my bathroom. Can't thank them enough for the advice on that one. My contractor couldn't believe it when I told him how much I'd paid for it. He said he had a customer recently (in Burlington) that bought something similar for 6-7 times what I had paid. My girlfriend put the finished bathroom on Instagram and three people have asked for Barton B+T's number to purchase the same mirror. Big thanks to everyone at Barton B+T.

I always go to Barton Bath Floor first to see what they can offer for washroom fixtures, accessories, tubs, etc. as i find the Home Depot and Lowes customer service is subpar. Their customer service is knowledgeable and willing to help figure out exactly what you need for DIY projects.

I am a local contractor who almost exclusively uses Barton Discount for most of my bathroom products. Their prices are competitive, the products that need to be ordered arrive quickly and the customer service department is better than most other companies offering the same services.They have been go to bathroom and kitchen fixture company for the past 7 years.Outside of some minor shipping delays, and issues with the suppliers shipping the wrong product, they are aces in my book.I recommend all my customers when they have a need for something Barton Discount supplies, go see Aaron and he will take care of it.

Not sure about all these other reviews about poor customer service. I had a great experience with them in bringing in a tile cleaner product from out of province. The price was fair and the staff there were pleasant to deal with. Thanks.

Rude, incapable, snotty, unapologetically incompetent, non computerized ordering system leading to chaos (don't worry, it will be all your fault and besides you definitely knew" everything would be late).
