My 16 year old son came in the store tonight at approximately 8pm he has a job and saves his money. He was looking to buy a nice chain and a pendant necklace for himself. My husband and I let him do his shopping on his own, he had his little brother with him, as we did our own shopping. He went to every jewellery store in the mall to do his research before buying. Every other store in the mall talked to him and showed him options, allowed him to try on, etc. He was the only customer in the store at the time, there were two women working. Neither of them said hello, offered to help him, said a word. They stood watching him and whispering amongst eachother. My son did buy his chain and a pendant necklace tonight, and spent his money at a store that treated him with respect. I have previously shopped at Michael Hill, I can say I will not again, and I will not be recommending it to anyone I know.

We went to look for a diamond ring, even though it was a weekend and busy, Nancy took time out and showed us all the rings in our budget and gave us a great breakdown. Even though we did not buy at that time, the customer service was amazing! Would definetely recommend anyone to Michael Hill.

Being a longtime customer of this store I recently took a large emerald ring in to be sized. It was sent away and in a week I received a call to come and pick it up. There was a note to say it could not be sized due to it being a soft stone and could not be subjected to the high heat required to soften the gold. The stone could crack or break. Apparently their jewellers have never heard of putty and water to size rings with soft stones. Needless to say I am very disappointed at this response and will never visit this store again. Fortunately I took my little knowledge to another company and was very happy with the job they did. I subsequently took in many more rings for sizing and made a lovely purchase as well. Second opinions definitely matter.

When walking in the store we were greated with a smile but upon asking for the $19 earrings on special the gentleman helping us seemed to have a shift of attitude and seemed quite annoyed. He then proceeded to look on his computer for them and came back to tell us that they didnt have the earrings I was looking for but they did have the $29 snowflakes. I said thank you but no thank you as it is for a birthday gift. We were about to leave when he said hold on, and took a bit longer before magically finding a pair. I said great and went to buy them and as I was paying he went over to his co worker who was boxing quite a few of them and got a different pair. It was quite clear this gentleman just didn't want to sell me the $19 earrings. It's a great deal and I have bought before but the customer service was seriously lacking and a deterrent for me to go back and buy anything else.

The Jewelers were super personable, trustworthy, and easy to approach. They helped educate us on our options, helped with sizing, educated us on product care, and overall were super awesome. I would however recommend going at a slower time if you don't like crowds as the store front can get quite congested at peak times and finding a place to wait in line while being seen as 'in line' is kind of difficult due to store layout.

Wow! Such excellent customer service! Vito is as pleasant in person as he is on the phone. He recently replaced a necklace that had previously broken more than once. I was not expecting this level of customer service. Thank you so very much. It shows that you can shop with great confidence at Michael Hill.

This review is way over do but I have to give a shout out to Gia. Last September my now fiance and I came in to look at engagement rings and she helped me. I went back in October to purchase it without my fiance and she remembered me straight away and called me by name. My whole experience through this process has been amazing and her service was outstanding! Thank you Gia for making this experience a memorable one!!

Met Gaia (she was quite the star) and she gave us such a wonderful experience checking out different pieces till the final selection. Fairly reasonable prices and good quality pieces that stand out! Loved the experience at Michael Hill.
