Every time I spoke to Jason he was professional and courteous. He showed up when he said he would, did a fantastic job and cleaned everything up before he left. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fence install. I imagine he would offer the same level of professionalism for any of his other services. Call Jason you will not be disappointed.

JC Carpentry & Fences did a fantastic job both with my fence and gate.Jason is honest , reliable , reasonable and hard working.He came when he said he would and also was on top of emails and phone calls which was very important to me. He followed all safety protocols as well. I had gotten some other quotes and appreciated his honesty and concern for my property. Since the job was completed I have recommended his services to friends and family who also were very pleased.

Unfortunately we had a rather unpleasant experience with Jason. For a tradesman who says he is a carpenter for 11 years and doing fences for 7 years (he makes sure to tell you this several times), he made rookie mistakes. He tried to put the fence on the drain (would rot in a year), he made a gate too tight for driving through despite our request (he thought it would look nice with posts located symmetrically but it was too tight), he cut the top parts of the posts angled so when we tried to put solar lamps on them later on, we found out all were angled, 2 of the 4 gate locks he put on became misaligned in a few weeks. I would think as someone doing fences for 7 years, he would understand the client need and tried to deliver to it, make suggestions, come up with ideas. Instead, he was just pushing to do it the only way he knows. At one point he told me he is used to building fences between houses on the side and not closing the yard (I am not sure how it makes a difference). Some of the contractors I worked with cleans up at the end of each day, Jason isn't one of them and just leaves stickers, screw plastic pouches and other packaging material behind (I'm still picking them up from the yard to this day). He has a habit of asking for payments very aggressively and in an insulting manner (as if we missed a payment or was late, he demands payment right away, you can't for example send later that evening when you have time, he demands it as he leaves the site. I later understood why because clients might find issues later on). He takes a deposit of 10% which is very high in the market, I came to understand why as well, because he doesn't want you to leave after finding out his attitude. I considered walking away and burning" my deposit and payments several times. Attitude-wise

Every time Jason and I spoke it was always professional, he does great work, amazing fences and decks. He cleaned up after himself, ran me through what he was going to do and how it would look. He was always on time, kept everything organized. I would highly recommend him!
