Kohkos Events

We had Kohkos Events for our wedding in Pictou County in September. We can not say enough good things. Sean and Sumana were friendly, professional, and excellent to deal with. The amount of work and detail that goes into set up is incredible, and they worked so hard! 10/10 would recommend Kohkos and their beautiful Kata Tipis!!!

We had such a great time at the Port Williams Pop Up Market on June 15th under the extremely impressive Kata Tipis. Perfect venue in a perfect location. Sean and Sumana and crew did a brilliant job of erecting the massive tipis including stringing lights inside. They remained very attentive to the needs and comfort of all the vendors throughout the day. Fellow vendors and every visitor to the market that we spoke with commented positively about the giant tipis and this wonderful event. We think Kohkos Events and the Kata Tipis are amazing additions to the spirit of entrepreneurship and energy that thrives in this beautiful Annapolis Valley. Thanks again, Sean and Sumana! We were fortunate to work with Sean and Sumana who put up their beautiful Kata tipi tents for our son and daughter in law's wedding this past July. The tents are beautiful and brought a lot of favourable comments not only from the wedding guests but from many in our community who drove by just to see them! Sean and Sumana also looked after all details the day of the wedding, we couldn't have done it without them. Very professional and very knowledgeable. It was wonderful having their expertise!

Due to COVID restrictions, we couldn't use our usual venues on the Acadia University campus for the Deep Roots Music Festival. Instead we planned a series of shows in Grand-Pre under the beautiful Nordic kata tipis of Kohkos Events. The look and feel of our bespoke venue were perfect for what we wanted to create - and our audience really loved being there.Sean and Sumana care deeply about their tipis, their business and their customers' satisfaction. That shows in everything they do. During the lead-up to our event, Sean answered questions all of our technical and scheduling questions about the tipis and also shared information about lighting and staging. Sumana and Sean were nearby throughout the event, monitoring weather and wind conditions and prepared to step in if there were any issues. Over the weekend we had rain clouds, torrential rain, starry night, blue skies and even a fantastic rainbow. The tipis were gorgeous in every kind of weather. Thank you, Sean and Sumana.
