It's good and it's affordable. I'm happy they open a decent place in the west island. The manager is nice and good service. When you don't feel like cooking or in a hurry, it's the place to go.

Pretty decent experience, my original review was deleted? Even though it was 5 stars. Not sure what's up but I guess it's there loss considering I've had a declining experience since my first impression. Food is pretty good noticed chicken was a little pink. Front of house is quite rude. The poutine was good. I'll try once or twice more. Not loving the second impression.

This is my first one star review. Asked how long it would take, she said 5-7minutes. Ended up taking 40 minutes for one chicken burger trio. It was not worth the wait. Very oily, it has more batter than meat and drowned in sauce. The bun was good. Cashier very nice but the kitchen work is lacking.

Such a sad experience. I ordered based on recommendations. After an hour I called. They told me some nonsense about my order not being a “timed order” in their system. They then said it would be here within 10 minutes. Which it was. Thanks to the driver who took his gf car just to get it here cause the other driver told him that order could sit n spin. So my order sat under a heat lamp for over an hour. Fries were gross, chicken was dry as a bone. The only redeemable quality was the nice driver who went out of his way to help out this sad restaurant. If the restaurant had any clue they could’ve at least given me fresh fries to make it palatable. Sorry I don’t usually give reviews like this but what a sad experience.

Stopped by AuCoq for the first time while in town on business ... The location at the time we went wasnt busy, the staff were extremely helpful in explaining things as the menu had absolutely no English on it ... As much as we could guess, it was nice to have someone confirm specific questions about options ...We got takeout and smiled as the food comes in a box that is sealed with straps, it was a nice touch and made it easy to carry ...Once digging in, the chicken was amazing, some of the best rotisserie chicken I've eaten in my life ...Sadly, I did not enjoy the rest of the sides, the coleslaw was too vinegary for me, and the sauce just wasnt to my taste ...But the chicken was fantastic and overall made up for the taste of the sauce and slaw ...I would go back and probably try the ribs with a side of just chicken next time ...

I convinced my son to give Au Coq a try this evening as my husband and I were impressed with the quality of food when we went for the first time last week. He ordered the chicken tenders via SKIP as the three of us were getting over the flu and none of us wanted to spread our germs. When he got his order, I couldn't believe what was sent. A huge difference than what we enjoyed last week. The chicken tenders were like something I buy at Costco from the freezer section and thrown into the deep fryer. He could barely eat it. It was that awful. I am not sure if there is a separate menu for SKIP.The cost was the same as what he usually orders from Scores and far inferior. Not only has Au Coq lost one client but have lost three. Very disappointed.

Best not to order take out. Ordered a Breast of Chicken with Poutine. Got home and had no sauce for the poutine. What?Big Fail. Will not go back again.
