This clinic has been absolutely incredible to me since I first joined two years ago. All of the ladies working are so kind and compassionate. I can literally thank them for my life, I was in such a horrible place due to undiagnosed mental illnesses, which have now been diagnosed and I’m being treated accordingly. My NP Christina, who is so gentle and caring, has worked with me every step of the way in my journey to physical and mental wellness.Thank you to all of the women at Nexus, I am so grateful to be a patient.

The staff are lovely and seem hardworking and knowledgeable but have failed me several times i.e. missing reports, email responses ranging from long reply times to no reply at all, long waits for urgent appointments. I have many times utilized the ER as was told to do, but the ER turns me back to the GP. A continuous loop in which one is caught going from care provider to care provider with no actual traction - a total lack of results. I feel this clinic is great if you have straightforward healthcare needs but the caveat is this: The staff have all let me know how busy and overwhelmed they are with intakes (which leads me to believe NEXUS is too overwhelmed for their existing patients.) This can make it difficult if you have complex needs. My recommendation to management would be to define what kind of clinic they want to be and either focus on being a linear in the door out the door kind of clinic, or if they are a clinic that has the resources to provide services for complex patients. Even decide it on a case-by-case team basis to ensure time is allocated If not the latter, then please don't take on such patients - it isn't fair to them, and can be really disappointing to be unable to obtain the help you need.Further to that **update on March 15th** the clinic did not even apologize to me or acknowledge concerns/ transgressions in lack of patient care. Just a quick please confirm you wish to be removed from the patient list."Great work Nexus. You adopted an attitude of zero accountability and that is an extremely poor business practice."

I'm very happy with the level of care I'm receiving from my NP. They have been able to accommodate me reasonably fast when I have pressing concerns and are very upfront about delays that come from the burden on the health care system. I was really surprised at how fast I was added as a patient, given Nanaimo horror stories, but I suppose I signed up at the right time - I applied in Spring of 2021 and was given an intake within about 3 months. Maybe just lucky? Anyway, my care needs are pretty minimal, so complex patients may have different experiences. Just my two cents!

I love the Clinic, I'm sooooo happy to have my Nurse Practitioner. She is super and helps me out a lot. It is so nice to be able to spend more time with my NP than I ever got with a GP especially when dealing with new meds. The 2 nurses I have dealt with there (including this week) are so nice to me as well. The clinic is so accommodating to my bad anxiety. The staff is so friendly. Im very thankful they took me in. :)

My Wife and I were lucky enough to be followed by Nexus after the birth of our daughter. Christina is our nurse practitioner; she was very supportive about our parenting methods with our daughter and did a good job of providing information and education. She also has a very non-interventionist approach to her practice (which is a a good things); Very on top of current research and best practices when I asked her questions.Would definitely recommend getting on their waitlist (if possible)!

Listening to all the problems my friends is crying to me about this place. They want him to see 4 different people in the office plus come in every 2 weeks to renew the now 6 medications they have him on and he is still not really doing better. It's a 4 hour trip with 2 bus tickets or over a 20 minute drive 1 way. When he can't make it, they don't care about the patient, just move on. Forget to send his prescriptions in. Good for them that they make so much money they are so disconnected with a single dad who gets nothing from disablity for his child, survives on less the $19,000 a year but they can't relate at all.

When you call to make an appointment it just takes you to the answering machine. My messages never get returned, I am endlessly calling waiting for someone to pick up.Finally got a phone appointment, had to wait for 2 weeks and then no one ever called me. I called and left a message, still hasn't returned my call after letting them know I never received my phone appointment. I would be better off just going to walk in.

I haven't felt this well taken care of since I had to leave my family doctor behind many years ago when I left Vancouver for Powell River. Now living in Nanaimo, trying to find appropriate care has been a nightmare - until Nexus. I'm so incredibly thankful for all of the Nexus staff for being so positive and helpful.

(Please read whole thing )Nice caring people , and other than my old doctor insisting on changing medication I needed for seizures and anxiety and ptsd , not having a doctor who can help me with medication while she left(a replacement came but she for some reason can’t help with any thing other than basic referrals ) atleast a year ago after taking me off most of my medication that helped a lot n took years of hospital visits dr and other things to get to a good place and working ,then to have it completely changed and messed that up and then I was left without a dr who can help with my medication for mental health ,honestly just has been a rough time this whole time , having pretty much all progress that took years and helped and made my quality of daily life better destroyed Just cause dr n situation I ended up in due to moving out here
