Professional on point service for our potlight installation in the living room, office, and bathroom. We had a relatively small job that the company took care of in one day at a reasonable price. They were flexible with our other contractors which was refreshing. We took multiple quotes on this job and alcock came in as the best value proposition - no buyers remorse here. There's some larger shops in ottawa that came in over 25% higher because they are saddled with corporate overhead. Worth getting a quote. I'll definitely have them back for my future electrical needs. Thanks!

Unprofessional and difficult to work with.This was for new Hydro connect and electrical vehicle charging circuits in conduits. Started off by criticizing me for finding a company to do the trenching and conduits saying his would have been cheaper - except during six months, his never even showed up to give a quote! Then criticized me for having them install 1.25 inch conduits, even though he himself had specified 1.25 inch and it was written on the plan. Not impressed with that.One circuit, he illegally installed 8 gauge wire instead of 6 as specified on the plan, and when questioned, lied in writing about its ability to support a 60 amp breaker. He had to be called back to change the wire. Strangely, he had installed the correct gauge wire on another circuit, but not on this one, even though both were specified to be the same on the written plan.Then the ESA inspector found he failed to install the legally required GFCI breaker for the circuit, he had to be called back to change the breaker.Then when Hydro connected, half of the stuff he installed did not work, and the breaker he installed was permanently tripped.It turned out he had knowingly installed the wrong kind of breaker that did not support 120 and 240 on that circuit as required. He had to be called back to change the breaker.He became very frustrated at his own incompetence, saying he could not keep coming back to fix his mistakes for free, and wanted to be paid for work done and leave the installation incomplete and not working and I could find someone else to fix his errors!Then he claimed the correct breaker was not available for the panel he had chosen, and that it would be up to me to pay for a new panel to fix his mistake.Ten minutes of research on the Internet found the correct breaker was easily available. I ended up having to order it and supply it to him and finally everything was working.He was very quick to blame me for his mistakes and incompetence, and more than once threatened to remove everything he had done and go home.In the end, after I found and supplied the correct breaker for the fourth callback to fix his mistakes everything is working, so I am giving two stars instead of one star.The series of errors, deception, incompetence and callbacks was unexpected. Never once did he apologize for his missteps or mistakes, instead getting angry and blaming the customer for his mistakes. This was unprofessional and unwelcome.

Very professional, answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with generator panel. Wired all the essentials to the generator panel. Also took care of some smaller electrical issues.
