Red Door Finishing Ltd.

We contracted Red Door to upgrade our fireplace surround. We showed Todd a few photos of what we were looking for and he was able to customize the look to suite the space, and the style of our home. Once the work began it was completed quickly and on budget. Both Todd and his painter did a beautiful job and were a pleasure to work with. We are so happy with the final results of the project and would certainly use him again.

Red Door Finishing has done a few jobs in my home and Todd was nothing but polite, respectful, clean, and the job was done right. The other day a family member was saving me a spot downtown Nanaimo so I could park close to the area we were going to with my newborn baby, and we got to the parking spot about 10 seconds after the RED DOOR truck got to the spot and the couple, I assume Tod and his wife? we’re furious that we were taking the spot. I rolled down my window to explain I had a newborn on-board and needed to be close, however, they chose to aggressively swear at us in their truck and the finger me as they drove away. I was shocked and upset as I had tried to explain the situation to them, however, they chose to ignore me and address me aggressively instead. I wouldn’t recommend their business as I think this shows a lot to their character.

We had Todd do an extensive reno of our older home last year, and are very happy with the finished product, we get a lot of very positive complements from our visitors. Definitely recommend their services.

Red Door installed a front entry door for us. They supplied the door and installed it in one day. Todd was very professional, left our premises in immaculate condition! I recommended him to neighbor who hired him for a front door as well. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Todd recently installed a new front door on our home. We couldn't have been happier. The service from he and Pam was exceptional. They were prompt and efficient. Todd's craftsmanship was done expertly and with quality. The replacement door was of a different size and therefore a more complex issue than just taking off the hinges. We highly recommend them.

We needed two new man doors and frames, one to our garage and one to our mud roomarea, and also some repairs of our cabinet area.Todd did an amazing job at a fair price. He stuck to his quote and was friendly and professional. He picked out the perfect doors and hardware and the installation was also perfect. Very impressed with his service. Good communication and documentation. Will use him for any finishing carpentry or door installation in the future.

We recently had a slider and two side panels replaced by Todd. The morning began with Todd waiting 2 hours past the promised delivery time (by the supplier and nothing to do with Red Door). At no time did Todd loose his cool, even though it was costing him time.When the doors arrived he did a terrific install which was made difficult by a low header which he had to compensate and adjust for. This is my 13th home and alot of doors later....but this door is by far the best door I have ever owned. It opens and closes so softly and quietly.I felt his price was fair and he stood by his quote even with the suppliers error.He was recommended to me by a friend who is a contractor in Nanaimo.It was a pleasure to watch Todd work as he is a quality trades person who is only satisfied when the job is done right.

Professional work and a great attitude make RDF our top choice for anything beyond our meager DIY skills. :) Can't wait to work with this great team again someday soon.
