Beacon Church

A gospel centered evangelical church in James Bay. I found them to be very welcoming and friendly. Pastor Joe is very kind, welcoming and a skilled biblical preacher.

My wife Margaret and I came to Victoria from Winnipeg in August 2022. In the last four months we have been blessed by this Christian community. In that 4 months we have been come to know most of the families in the James Bay community by name and they know us by our first names. The have become our friends and neighbours literally. The word of God is both taught and shown by this community of believers. Joe Haynes brings his best every week from the scriptures. We have benefited from his sermons that call us to repentance from our sins as well as inviting us to live a life worth living under the Lordship of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I appreciate communion with the saints every week. Celebrating the sacraments bring us full circle in the grace of God before we return to the busyness" of our daily lives at home. This faith community is growing! We have a unique small town feel in a large urban centre. We care! We want to know you by name. When you are away

Great bible preaching church

I was a member at Beacon for several years until moving out of province. The people were friendly and generous and even pitched in to help me through my university. A great place to learn about the Bible and plug into a great community.
