Sandspit Cavendish Beach

This is a great place to bring your kids, the young as well as the young at heart! During Covidtide, you MUST make reservations in advance, which we found out the hard way. One good thing about buying in advance is that you get a bracelet for unlimited rides, but in order for parents to enter the park, you need to buy the pass as well for them. Still not a bad deal really. Kids LOVED IT!

Went as a family of four (for this the bracelets are the way to go) and we got our money's worth...with the exception (and why I give 4 out of 5 stars) we paid $92 for bracelets but they did jot cover the cost of go-carts (I spent an additional $32 to cover 5 go-cart trips). All in all however we had a blast. For a small roller coaster theirs is fun as heck. Went on it multiple times, ferris wheel gives views of the ocean to the North and the drop tower was a hit with our oldest.

Super impressed.We had the most perfect day there, prices are very good. Impressed with the employees as well, most are very young ( maybe I'm just old now? ) But they were on the ball with safety precautions and most were very pleasant - none were rude, just not loving their job in that moment.Also, love how they kept their staff with full water bottles and moved them around ride to ride to keep them from being bored ( and help with safety again )The young guy at the counter was so knowledgeable and helpful.I can't say enough good about this place ❤️Would be cool to get some new rides there, even without - still a blast!

Now, Sandspit feels so small when you are used to larger theme parks, but after being there a few times you can start to appreciate it for itself. It is a really great size to take your family and hang out for a few hours. It's kind of like going to a midway with a roller coaster. The lines are not very long and on the right day, you basically have no wait for some of the rides. The food prices are about what you expect for a park venue, but the treats are good and the chicken, fries, and poutine were tasty.The staff are friendly and do their best to be helpful. Everyone was very accommodating for me and my wheelchair, although some of the hills were pretty steep!My kids had a fantastic time and highly recommend the tilt-a-whirl, which they rode at least a dozen times. Even my husband and father were repeat riders.Overall, it's a fun place to spend a day or afternoon.

The city has limited options and can add more entertaining games. I liked the go cart, prices were reasonable. And I like the options of charge. The city was small enough that you can completely complete your visit for very short time.I don't recommend the daily pass, as there are close to nothing to playI enjoyed the go cart and another couple of gamesWe went at 10:00 left at 13:00

Sandspit is a small but fun amusement park catering to tourists in Cavendish. It's great for the kids (all 5 in our group LOVED coming here for a day) it tuckered them out and they enjoyed the rides..over and over again. Some of the adults played a few rounds of mini golf and it was a lot of fun. It's simple but a really nice way to spend part of a day or a few hours. We went back after dinner and it was a treat to see all the rides lit up. As some reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit dated but still a great time. I loved that it wasn't too busy and there was barely a wait for rides and games.

Had a mix up with their hours of operation over the weekend. Bought evening passes on their website that said open until 10pm not realizing they closed at 6pm the day we went, nobody told us when we got our bracelets and we missed the sign on the way in stating they closed at 6. Left my contact info hoping they would maybe let us come back the next evening as we were only in the area for a few days, was told someone would be in touch but that was 4 days ago and still nothing. To late now and I don't really care about the money I wasted as the kids had a good time when we were there. I would have just appreciated a call or an email. When a company states they care so much about families having fun but can't even be bothered to contact you when your evening goes sideways it gives a real we don't care about families we just care about your money kind of vibe... As fun as it was for the hour and a half we were there I doubt we will ever go back again. Buy your tickets at the park not online and do not expect them to point out that 130 bucks is only gonna get you 2 hours instead of the advertised 6.

Great spot to spend your vacation. Prices for tickets are high, and go karts are sold separately. Bracelets are alright price if you use all of the rides. Would recommend specially if you have a family. Very fun spot to spend the day.
