Woke up finding an adolescent bird at the ledge of my inground swimming pool.Contacted Le nichoir and spoke to a lovely kind, reassuring young lady who gave me all the necessary info to help the bird and keep him safe on property. Found Le nichoir with Google and am impressed with the service offered early in the morning. Had contacted Flore et Faune Qc and closed until 10 am. Would not have known what to do with birdie if it wasn’t for the young lady at Le Nichoir. Thanks again for your kindness and knowledge.

A very attractive and well organized facility for the recuperation and release of wild waterfowl and songbirds. We transported two young birds from Ottawa.

They took in 2 newborn robins we found in very bad shape lying in the grass, no nearby nest could be found nor parents. I followed up a few days later to find out they were doing very well in their nursery. We are lucky to have these people to take care of these poor birds. Thank you.

I found a fledgling phoebe that had fallen out of its nest. I called and was immediately told what steps to take, to try to get the parent birds to find and feed him. When that didn’t work, they asked me to bring him into their center in Hudson, which I did. They are so busy, but very well organized. I will be calling them back to find out the status of this poor baby (one of the lucky ones, who was saved, but I felt badly that he’s separated from his family). The staff is friendly, informative, and quick to respond. Very professional organization.Photos: 1)- the new woodpecker room; 2)- The phoebe fledgling (who hungrily chirped all the way to the center, in the car).

I found a juvenile starling with a broken leg, i spent a week to find somewhere taking care of bird. No private vet accepted the wild bird and finally some one recommended le nichoir. Except for injured leg he was so friendly, willing to live , playful and great appetite. I had a funny feeling that guys will have him to sleep in this place because it’s not a native bird and not a conservation concern, then said i will take a chance maybe they can fix the bird but bigggg mistake. I followed up and noticed he was euthanized same day due to a fracture near ankle. Im just shocked and can’t stop crying.

This place knows how to rehab birds! They take care of hundreds during nesting season. My young teen is interested in animal rescue, and is excited to be part of the food prep and delivery team. Thanks for your great work!

The manager Dia is a very very rude person. She is disrespectful, no manners, rude, talks over you and talk to people as she is better. Can’t understand how she is in such organization with her kind of attitude :(

Wonderful experience! We captured an injured Canada goose and it was brought to the Nichoir from the SPCA. The staff have been wonderful offering advice on capturing the goose safely and giving us indept updates on the birds health when we called. I am very grateful to the team for giving the injured bird the chance she deserves!
