Joy of Dance Centre

When I began beginner ballet at the studio I had never danced in my life and I was very nervous. The studio was incredible and made me feel so comfortable. Four years later and I’m on pointe! This studio has had a very positive impact on my life :).

went for a ballroom dance private sample class, had a wonderful time. Annie was super kind, knowledgeable and encouraging. Made my first time dancing very enjoyable and relaxing :)

It was my son’s first year to joint this studio for hip pop , the teacher is very nice , but the front desk staff is terrible in managing the group communication with parents . I knew they have the showcase and they said they post a sign on the wall however no other detail to us by email . I believe except me . And I shared the experience with others and they said they have to find out the show case detail like location , tickets , entrance , dress etc by themselves.I didn’t receive any email notice for the showcase , and i got an urgent call 30 mins ago before the showcase start time . And I called their office , and one of the ladies said I was the only one who didn’t know the showcase detail among 400 students !I was surprised that I was the only one who missed this rare opportunity for my son ‘s first term leaning performance.And they sent out the receipt after you paid by email very activity . However not all the event detail . Since I emailed them and called them and no proof of email sending confirmation from their office to me regarding the showcase .Not recommend this studio !

I love their adult classes. The teachers are great and it's a great way to stay fit and have fun at the same time!

Absolutely love this studio! They offer high quality dance training for adults in all different styles. The ballet program here is fantastic and they offer adults the opportunity to do their RAD exams, which I haven't found at any other studio in Toronto. They also have their own app, which makes signing up for classes so easy. Highly recommend!

Very much enjoyed the experience. I went for their drop in hip hop session. I loved that I was able to just drop in for a class. Most dance studios do not have a drop in option. Went for a Valentine's Day date, and both of us had a great time. Experience was especially good because the instructor Lorenz was both knowledgable, talented and very encouraging to push us to do our best.

We shopped around to several dance studios in the city when looking for somewhere to enroll our 5 year old daughter, but after coming across this place we knew it was the one. The location, the studio, the teachers, the schedule - all top marks and we feel privileged to have our daughter start her journey with a studio like Joy of Dance. We had her take the Hip Hop class a few months before the last lockdown hit, and she absolutely loved the class and her instructor Kimberly who is amazing. Unfortunately we had to move to online classes which my daughter just couldn't get into, but now that things are reopened we are very excited to have her back for Ballet and Hip Hop. I'm surprised that people have negative things to say about this place, and can only guess they have unreal expectations or didn't feel the same magic that we do here. If you are looking for a dance studio in the city, you would be doing yourself a great disservice by not at least dropping in and taking a look before you decide.

I know the place since 2009, still one of the best in town I believe. Convenient location to access. Neighborhood is also excellent for a walk, dinne or drink if you just droping off your kids.

This is one of the most important places in Canada for dance. The staff are the greatest grouping of humans and I couldn't recommend this place enough. You're in the best hands.
