Countryside Inn
Wasn't expecting much for a quick overnight during blackfly season when doing some outdoor courses with my son. Just a place to crash for the night, and hop back on the road in the morning to get back to our course. Anything is better than being eaten alive by bugs, right?Well... at least at campgrounds you have drinkable tap water. Not here. There was a big sign in the bathroom saying that water was not to be used for drinking, washing or cooking purposes. What? No warning online. No warning at check in. No bottled water for use instead. I've traveled in developing countries where tap water (if available) isn't safe to drink, but the hotels always provide bottled water to their guests.Aside from the lack of water, there was garbage under the edge of the beds (not having to look far. Like we're talking toe-deep beyond the edge of the mattress). Box springs were taped up and held together with duct tape.I like to support small businesses but I think next time I'm in Kingston, I'll either spend the extra on a big hotel chain or brave the bugs and stay in a Provincial Park.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Countryside Inn. The room was spacious and had a cozy atmosphere. The location was convenient, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Highly recommended

Great motel with attentive staff. The room had all the necessary amenities, and the kitchenette was well-equipped. The gazebo and BBQ area were perfect for outdoor relaxation. Definitely worth a visit!

Great value for money! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, close to downtown and other attractions. The bathrooms at the Countryside Inn were clean and well-maintained. The towels provided were soft and fresh. Definitely recommend it!

Really pretty location just off the highway. The front yard area had lots of outdoor picnic tables, a gazebo, and a small playground.My sister booked the room, but was charged $10 more on the website to have a 4th guest in a room with 2 queen sized beds. Her husband ended up not coming on our trip, but she wasn't able to get a refund.The beds were mostly clean, no obvious stains, comfortable. I found some long black hairs in mine. There was garbage under the bed my sisters were sharing.The bathroom floor was very shiny. We didn't use the shower, but the towels were kind of crunchy and smelled weird. I saw a centipede on the ceiling.There is also a big pothole as you're turning out of the front parking lot towards Kingston.Ultimately you get what you pay for, and the room serves its purpose (a safe place to sleep on a weekend trip out of town).

A 2-star hotel deserving of its rating.My roommate and I stayed there for 3 nights.We got a 2 queen size beds.On the Plus side:Hotel Receptionist was friendly and polite. The room we were in was spacious. The TV had many fun channels. Didn't hear the traffic. Easy to find.On the Negative sides:Where do I start? Our room was serviced only ONCE, after our first night (including trash and beds and towels). There were spider webs near the table. One of the window had KLEENEX stuffed in a hole to prevent water or bugs to come in and a kid had forgotten a lego piece (we left it there), curtains had holes, the beds were squeaky and mine was caved-in in the middle. The air conditioner was dirty and there were no indications that the floor had been swept or the carpet vacuumed.I understand that it is a 2-star hotel, but even there some basic maintenance need to be done. The rooms shown in the pictures were misleading: they didn't reflect the reality of our room. One of the keys provided didn't even work! The small fridge was really outdated and barely kept our drinks cold. There were weird bugs in the bathroom floor...On the second night, a raucous group of guests stayed out late, talked loud and the manager couldn't be reached because there as no phone to call him.The place would be amazing only if the management took time to give it some TLC (tender, Love and Care if you didn't know), this could easily be a 3 stars hotel.

Sure, keep the 10$. I will not return and I will not recommend anyone I know to stay at this place if they ask for their trips to Kingston. Sorry :/Unfortunately, the last member of my party was unable to make it on the trip, so it was just 3 of us (2 and a child). We were still charged the extra adult fee" of 10$

I highly recommend the Countryside Inn to anyone visiting Kingston.From the moment I arrived, the friendly and attentive staff made me feel right at home. Their warm welcome and helpfulness throughout my stay were truly commendable. It was evident that they take great pride in providing outstanding service to their guests.One of the standout features of this hotel is its peaceful countryside location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Yet, it is conveniently close to downtown and various attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Kingston and its surroundings. The complimentary parking provided added to the convenience, as I didn't have to worry about finding a spot.It was an exceptional experience from start to finish , and I am already looking forward to my next stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Countryside Inn. The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The kids loved the play area, and we enjoyed the BBQs. Will definitely come back!

The Countryside Inn was a great find! The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The BBQ area was a nice addition. Will definitely stay here again!
