Today was my first time visiting. I enjoyed myself, it's a very nice church. Everyone was very welcoming , I would definitely go back to visit.

No political debate intended, but the fact that this church is unconditionally loving all people is the reason my son and I will attend for the first time in the morning. You can go there for a bag lunch everyday except Friday they also give bus tickets but you have to be one of the first to be there as they only do the first 20 people.

Best place to park for a baseball and football game. It's also the best place to park for the Fox theater. The man that runs the lot (Bradford) is super friendly!

A very good place for someone to go to that down on their luck needing housing or simply shelter from the cold they offer meals for the homeless and needy and set you up with Housing Services that can help people get on their feet

This place helps with getting ID and gives referrals to shelters and other crisis agencies. They also serve lunch and coffee at 11am to anyone who comes in. They are nice people who want to help and don't judge. Never once felt condescended to, and felt like they truly wanted to be there.

Central United Methodist Church
While I don't have any religious views, the Central United Methodist Church is really excellent in representing what true Christianity is about. It really practices what it preaches. They do not operate under hatred, they are not about Prosperity Theology, and they house some of the most powerful social justice organizations in Detroit. It is a place where real political organizing is at the forefront. It is highly recommended to attend their MLK gathering.
