Sunterra Market, Commerce Place

I used to eat here far too often (scones, hot lunches, fruit, etc.) pre-pandemic simply because my office building was nearby so it was super convenient. The scones were good, but I stopped purchasing them 1) after I found a long (and very strong) hair in the centre of one (I liked breaking the scones in half and buttering them, and the hair kept the two pieces attached. I brought it back) and 2) after the elderly cashier yelled at me when I asked her for a scone from the covered bin rather than the scone that had been sitting around on a plate next to her till (Manager later on asked me, What do you want me to do about it?" rather than "Sorry that this happened; I will address the matter with the employee.")They have a nice variety of items

The smell of fresh pizza right as you walk in was a big seller for me! All the food was freshly prepared and looked delicious. My pastrami sandwich was delightful!

It was the worst sandwich I've ever had the unfortunate pleasure of trying to eat. Incredibly dry and tasteless. It is absolutely disgusting for a supposed higher end food market. No butter on the bread, no mayonnaise on the bread or in what was a poor excuse for egg salad. Very nasty stuff.

I had a sandwich egg salad was tasteless you guys are so expensive I worked as I am an experience sandwich artist for 7 years I know how to make a good sandwich. I am not impress your bread is dry wont be back

n one word underwhelming. The food was bland, even though it looked like it would be flavourful, the salmon tasted like fish rather than salmon (for those that know , you 'll understand) the pork was dry, the scones had no chocolate chips or almonds. The experience was overall very disappointing. I was really expecting more from the presentation, location and price. I guess it goes to show you that not all things that are expensive are quality.

Great experience. Great location. Great food. I like the ambiance as it feels like an outdoor market. You can get full meals to takeout, salads and sandwiches, coffee and a great bakery and everything in between. I’ve come here many times over the years and have always enjoyed the food and service. You might think prices are somewhat high but the quality of food and portions overcomes that. I love the pizzas and my favourite item is in the bakery, the caramel Square. I definitely recommend this place and will come back again.

I go to sunterra once in a while for lunch. I normally get the chicken legs offered near the back and have had each of the different kinds they offer, and they are all VERY good. I tend to walk away with a good-sized lunch for 8-10 bucks, and it's a WAY better offering than any of the fast food joints nearby. If you work downtown and need to get lunch, go here vs. other places as you will benleft satisfied.Some of their other things can be a bit on the expensive side though.

Great Place.. Freshly prepared food, for everyone.... including families. The Bakery is to Die for...a Red Velvet cake like no other!

I have been coming here for lunch due to sheer unavailability of many lunch locations downtown, and the food has always been overpriced and mediocre. Last week however, Sunterra catered a large lunch for our Company, and 20+ people subsequently succumbed to a very severe food poisoning/gastrointestinal virus. Other colleagues ate there a day later, and got very sick from other food than what was catered at our lunch. To add insult to injury, the food itself at the catering (sandwiches) was virtually flavourless, the bread very dry, the toppings not tasty. Very upsetting.
