This is amazing place to spend an hour with kids, especially on a hot summer day (because train tracks run through shady park) and we visit it almost every weekend. Rides are nice and long (about 10-11 minutes each), so there is plenty of time to check out all toy figures along the tracks and enjoy cool breeze. They often have a miniature train exhibition inside a pavilion, which is well worth visiting too. Concession stand offers a variety of snacks and beverages (ice creams, pop corn, soda etc.) at reasonable prices.

My wife loves mini train. I think we have been almost all mini trains that closed to us. This is the one she loves most since it is located while in the city. It's a great place bring your family including your grandparents. They will love it.She wants saying thank you for all the volunteers donate their time making this great place running so good and smooth. We always see so many happy faces in the park. This is the train you can really ride on it and enjoying the the real tunnels, bridges and forest.Thank you for the B.C. Society of Model Engineers for built and operated this park. They are always super friendly and care for the safety for all!Come here before Thanksgiving otherwise will be in 2023!

The Burnaby Central Railway has been here since I was a little kid and probably even before that. I remember the delight upon seeing the mini trains the first time my dad and I walked past Confederation Park, and this amazing place came to view.I remember fondly riding the mini train with my dad and both of us thinking how cool the experience was. Sadly, dad has long passed. Now, I found myself having the opportunity to take my little ones to experience the joy I remembered. The Burnaby Central Railway has grown a lot since my childhood. There are more tracks and more structures than I remembered. There's an actual line of people the day I visited. It took 3 trains before our turn, though they run multiple trains in different directions at once, so the actual waiting time was not long. The train experience was even better than I remembered. The price has gone up, but going from $2 to $4.50 is very reasonable. I'm not sure if the increase in tracks has made the experience longer or that I don't remember it that well. I'm just happy to take my kids to share this experience. I look forward to returning when I'm in town.FYI, they open between Easter and Thanksgiving.

I never knew we had train rides in Burnaby until I came across an Instagram video! Totally worth it for any ages. Apparently you can host birthday parties too! I recommend checking their websites ahead of time as the trains are operated by volunteers. Thank you to the volunteers!! $4.50 for a token and the train ride takes about 10mins. Awesome experience!

Great experience both for kids and for adults. We went twice and luckily the routes were different. The ride was about 10mins and for just $4.50 it's totally worth it. Highly recommended.

This is a hidden jem. If you have kids who remotely like trains I bet they will have a lot of fun. Entry is free and rids are about 4bucks its very cheap and the rides are decently long and interactive check my attached full video for that. There is also a miniature train station where they have a functional real mini steam train. This is not open all days so check the website for hours before you go. There is a food store and ample parking and washroom. Over all this was really fun highly recommended. Check out the attached videos & follow for more.

It’s an enjoyable experience riding on the miniature train, and my daughter has lots of fun.The price is only CAD 4.5 per ride and even CAD 4.0 each if you buy a pack of ten tokens. The duration of each ride is quite long; it goes through tunnels and bridges and passes by the starting point building two times before the journey ends.

What a fun place this is! The mini train ride was worth every penny. The cost of the ride is $4.50 for ages 3 and up. It is a short 2mile ride where the train runs through a tunnel, over a bridge and over a small water body. The wait time was less than 5mins on a weekday and i am sure it is a fun experience for kids and adults. You can buy some snacks such as hot dogs, ice creams and pop corn. There are picnic tables where you can sit and eat food. Also apart from the ride, there are mini model trains running which you can go see at the Garden Railway.Edit: As mentioned by the owner, this place is open on statutory holidays and on weekends. Enjoy!
