The karate classes (there's both adults and kids classes) here are fantastic. The shihan is phenomenon. I can't say enough nice things about him both as an instructor and an individual.

The EJCA puts on wonderful programming and events for a reasonable price, to both members and non-members alike. There is no special requirements to be a member besides paying the reasonable fee, and it gets you access to great Japanese language classes, special cultural events, and other fun events (like a Japanese needlework class or cooking class). The teachers for the beginner language class are patient and very kind.

went to the Japanese summer festival and had a wonderful time experiencing the culture. Especially liked learning about flower arrangement and the bonsai tree
