Vaughan Creek Covered Bridge (Irish River No. 1) / #ExploreNB / Tourism New Brunswick | New Brunswick's only two-lane covered bridge was built in 2022 on the same alignment as the original 1935, 22 m (72 ft.) Vaughan Creek covered brige, which served as the primary link between St. Martins and what is now the Fundy Trail Parkway.

Vaughan Creek Covered Bridge
A nice spot to stop and rest after a long drive. Upon getting out of our vehicle a wonderful smell came to us which turned out to be homemade waffle cones at the ice cream shop. They were indeed delicious and the ladies were very welcoming. A very generous one scoop also . There is a few gift shops to explore & the lighthouse is an information center with washrooms. You can also climb the stairs to see the view from the top of lighthouse.

Vaughan Creek Covered Bridge
Cool covered bridge in St. Martins...if you have the time, stick around and see it at both high and low tide. We saw it at high tide and got a bite to eat, then toured Fundy trail. When we were on the way back it was low tide. Worked out perfect!

Vaughan Creek Covered Bridge
Erected in 1935 this is the first of two covered bridges located in the Village of St Martins. Very picturesque this bridge also includes an attached covered pedestrian crossing.
