We really enjoyed our visit. We had the tomato, potato, & eggplant appetizers. The special vegetable tagine by chef Omar was terrific. Very homey atmosphere with a nice selection of kambucha.

I mean seriously this chicken sandwich. The lamb bowl was also excellent, the harissa potatoes are a mist and we enjoyed a nice kombucha as well

We visited Saffron De Twah when they were having a special celebration for the chef's James Beard Award nomination. They changed their menu for the party but the food was absolutely incredible and really showed off Chef's fusion capabilities. The vibe was fantastic, customers laughing and having a great time. Chef Omar is a wonderful human – deeply kind and funny as hell. This spot is an absolute gem of Detroit cuisine. 11/10 would eat again!

Yes, they have a great fried chicken sandwich that is as big as your head! But, you also need to try the tagine - fresh tasting and delicious! Do not leave without trying the lemonade.

The food was great! The chicken sandwich was unlike any other chicken sandwich I've ever had. I'm a big eater but couldn't finish it. The harissa potatoes were excellent! Got to speak with the chef.

This place has got to be the most underrated one in town; they deserve more attention from locals. They certainly have it from the James Beard team as they're nominated for Best Chef in 2023. And rightly so; we had the Zalouk with pita chips, the Moroccan Chicken sandwich, and the Lamb Tagine...all delicious and nicely executed. Omar the chef is the one front of the house making sure all guests are well explained of the menu, and cared for. Looking forward to stopping in soon.

The food was delicious, clearly made with a lot of care. I was really impressed and moved by the commitment that Chef Omar has for his patrons, his staff, and his community. I have NEVER had a restaurant owner come to my table and engage in conversation, and I could tell Omar was really quite interested in fostering a welcoming environment at his restaurant. The patio was quite cozy and extremely clean with some great plants. Overall, an awesome atmosphere and a welcoming place to get a home-cooked meal. Thank you!

We had a delicious meal at Saffron De Twah!! Chef Omar choose all the appetizers and two main courses and all were wonderful. The main courses, our big enough to split. The chicken sandwich was enough for three people. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is so so. Just be prepared. It’s not a finished off dining in restaurant experience. Definitely have reservations.

This is no ordinary place.I've tried the Hot Moroccan Chicken & Fried Fish during sandwich week to-go and dine in. Honestly, best huge! crunchy portion with juicy flavor I can recall in a decade. You certainly will be full if you eat it all. The fish is light but just as good!! There is so much I haven't tried, but even the orange blossom(gf called it fairy juice) was amazing. The hospitality was like home w great energy. I'm excited to come back! Do Not sleep on this amazing place!
