I am shocked to read of any negative experiences with Monica, as I had nothing but a wonderful, smooth experience with her and her staff (Joanna is excellent!) during such a stressful time in my life. Monica is so incredibly down-to-earth, approachable, empathetic, friendly, sharp, and just plain intelligent. She clearly cares about you as a client and just plain as a human being, and will figure out what it takes to get the best possible outcome for you. Most importantly during this difficult time, she really listened to what was important to me, and just “got it”. She took such a huge weight off of my shoulders and I will be forever grateful!! She may be on the pricier side, but you certainly get what you pay for, and I did not find her billing practices unfair in any way. Thank you so much to Monica and her staff!!

Experienced, highly effective lawyer.

Please do your research before settling on a lawyer. I'm giving Monica a one star rating for abusing me as a client. I wish I could tell everyone how unprofessional she is. Best of luck mending your family, there are good lawyers out there.

Awful experience. My entire case is botched and I'm out of funds to try and repair anything. I had to sell my home to pay for her incompetence and I still owe her money. I'm ruined thanks to Monica!

Super expensive and little results.As bad as my divorce was, my experience with Monica was worse.

Monica does not speak to her clients. She lets her reception handle everything.However, if, by chance, Monica does answer the phone, and you have a five minute conversation, assuredly she'll bill you for an hour, maybe more.Monica works 25 hours a day. Ask her clients when they receive their account statement.

Please do not use this lawyer.She is a Bully to her clients and very inappropriate to them.She single handedly destroyed my kids life and relationship with there Father.A new lawyer had a fair deal made for a fraction of what she charged.No results. Just bills for no reason.Very incompetent and confrontational with everyone. Horrible reputation in the legal community. WillDump you if no money left.Please don’t retain her. It’s a terrible experience with a very Horrible and Evil person.Don’t let her fool you.

Would you pay a contractor thousands of dollars to destroy your home? Most people wouldn't. So why would you pay a lawyer to hurt your family? My experience with Scholz family law was devastating and crippled me financially for years. They were recommended by a running friend of mine which turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life (apart from getting married). I worked hard my whole life pushing a wheelbarrow, raised 2 children, only to have my divorce botched. Please don't become another statistic and treat your family with care.
