I called Susan after I had seen her on CHCH. Our cottage on Lake Erie has been devastated from the winds, along with many others. We have been offered next to nothing from insurance company for compensation. Very strange concept when they send there own people out to give you a quote on damage. HUGE conflict of interest. So this is where Susan comes in, as she has her own company and no attachment to insurance companies. But has the knowledge as she used to work for them. At this point she offered me some information and avenues to follow up on, along with some contact numbers. This came to us with no charge from her at all. I will 100% use her if our answers lean that way.

Working with Queen Adjusters has been a real privilege! We had a house that caught fire and were working towards a settlement with our insurance company. We thought we were equipped to challenge our insurance company as we own a commercial construction management company. We quickly learned that the insurance company has a team that prepares a scope of work that is deficient. We knew we could challenge prices but the scope of work was prepared by engineers and we had no way of arguing the scope of work. We worked together to form a proper budget with proper scope of work. The insurance company refused to entertain a negotiation. Our case quickly escalated to Mediation.Queen Adjusters, Sue Bettencourt, demonstrated fluency in a language used only in the insurance world through her paper work and during her arguments in mediation. She was well prepared as the team behind her were thorough in preparing evidence to argue for a proper scope of work. In the end, Queen Adjusters was able to reach a settlement for us, 5 months from the time we engaged their services, that was 3 times the amount initially offed to us by the insurance company.It was not the efficiency, fluency and competence of Queen Adjusters that we liked best about working with this team; it was their passion to help. Every single person on their team is approachable and always takes time to discuss the situation, providing good feedback while being open to suggestion. They took a really stressful situation and were able to make this whole process fun. Working with Queen Adjusters was really a privilege.
