Dr. Samim Paediatric and Adolescent Care

My son was referred to Dr. Samim and I will be honest my husband and I were a bit nervous to go here after reading all the negative reviews. So we were so relieved when this was absolutely not our experience.While it did take close to 3 months to get an appointment, this was the suggested wait time given to us by Dr. Samim so it wasn't a surprise. The staff have always answered when we call and from start to finish during the appointment were all very professional and kind.Dr. Samim was also very professional and knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything very thoroughly. Our appointment was at 1pm and we were out by 2:30pm. We look forward to coming back if needed in the future.

Well, first of all, the front desk workers have changed recently, and all of them are very rude. The other front desk workers are very rude and have very bad attitudes. I don’t know where he got them from( no skills at all). They chat and talk but do not answer any phone calls . The First Lady before them was amazing. But those new ones are unprofessional. Second, I have seen quite a few new nurses as well. The young Asian (I believe Chinese) acts like a doctor. She doesn’t even listen to your concerns; instead she responds with something like , No you don’t need this or that

Check all the negative reviews; they are all truly right. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews, which were added by the nurses and receptionists using different accounts to make their rating great. This place is horrible. very long waiting time for any purpose, the nurses and receptionists are very rude, and they don’t care about your concern. You will see them chatting, laughing, and doing nothing at the office, but they are too busy to pick up their phones or make any inquiries. I think Dr. Samim is the only paediatric and adolescent care provider in town, and he took advantage of it by not treating the patients right, but he and his staff are not good. Not recommended.

We were very disappointed. They stopped returning our calls when our 16-month old was a month overdue for her shots and dealing with chronic ear infections and possible hearing loss.They won't pick up the phone when you call. Ever. It is extremely frustrating. You have to leave a message and wait sometimes days for a return call (or in our case your entire life). They push the nurses on you if you have an issue and the nurses relay info to the Doctor and come back and tell you what he said. It's a weird game of broken telephone where you can't really get your questions answered.If you ask for an appointment because your child is sick, they might actually say no if they think it's not urgent or important enough. It's actually a really odd system, everywhere else you can usually get an appointment when you ask for it (it just might not be right away). He also refused to send a referral to an allergist when our daughter has really bad food-related face eczema to the point where it was cracking and bleeding.He does spend a good amount of time with each patient (after you wait for 2 + hours) but I do appreciate that. So for that I'll give 2 stars instead of 1.

This place is any parents worst nightmare - especially when you have more than one child with you. If there was an option to give this place a negative rating, trust me I would!!!The first red flag should have been the lack of communication. Phone calls aren’t picked up and your voice message will not be responded to.It takes 2-4 months wait time for an appointment. The time comes around, and you’re put in a room only to find yourself sitting there for 2 +hours!!! Who in the world can keep small children in a room for 2 hours!!!!When you ask the front office when your turn will come, they all respond with “the doctor is running late,” like it's a premeditated or rehearsed response.They don’t take the appointments seriously, with the expectation that you’ve got lots of time to spare.With all due respect, I don’t think they understand how difficult it is to keep smallchildren in an office for that long.I will never go back to this office again. Please do yourselves a favour and avoid this location at all costs. They don’t value your business or time whatsoever.They lie to you when you’ve had enough, to keep you from leaving. When you leave, they act sympathetic and say the Doctor will call you, which never happens!!! When will the unprofessionalism end!!!

I had an appointment today the staff were right at the door waiitng got me in gave my daughter everything she needed to keep her busy , dr samim is amazing laid everything out so I know what he's talking about instead of prescribing medication he did other things first he found things with my daughter my family doctor havnt had found ever after several appointments amazing !!! My daughter loves it there and was not uncomfortable

This is the WORST doctors office I have ever had to work with. They are extremely unprofessional and oversubscribed. Wait times of 60-90 minutes to be seen in person are typical, with up additional 60+ minute waits mid appointment while the nurse speaks with the Dr to 'develop the plan of care'. Online (video) appointments are no better - they are never on time and expect you to wait 20-30 minutes minimum as part of normal operation. Dr Samim's bedside manner is terrible. They do not listen and just proceed with their 'plan' without regard for patient/parent feedback. You must be a VERY strong advocate for your child to get appropriate care. The nurses are good, but the office as a whole is terrible.

Don't come to this clinic ( Run away ) !!This place is a pure business and has nothing to do with health care, its busier than Victoria ER. These guys are only after money and they want to see as many patients as possible !!! you will be waiting for ages before the Dr comes to the room. The first 45 mints you will be waiting in the reception area, then you will be taken to the examination room where you have to wait for another 45 mints, then the nurse comes to take the height and weight, then she comes again after 45 mints to ask about the complain !! They are really good at buying time.If you are a newcomer, the Dr will give you a lecture about the health care system in Canada and he will tell you that waiting for hours in the clinic as well as the delay in the procedures are normal in Canada , which is not really always the case.The Dr requested blood tests for my son, and he discussed the results with us after 6 months!!. If your son needs referral, you have to weight for months for the Dr to do it and start the procedure!!Every thing is wrong in this clinic

We have stayed quiet and dealt with the ridiculous wait times at every appointment. Every time we are told that things will change and the dr is having an extra busy day. But when you have a sick 15 month old who is fussy and has been waiting in a room for OVER 2 HOURS to be seen for a simple vaccine that can be administered by any nurse in 5 minutes, it is just too much to handle. We are now looking for an alternative doctor and can’t wait to leave this practice.
