Ottawa House Buyer

Havent personally delt with this company but I did received a very unprofessional piece of paper in my mailbox today.After the owner read my own personal opinion/review regarding their marketing he found me on Facebook to contact me directly regarding my review. Im sorry you don't like my review, however this is my own personal opinion. He started threatening to leave bad reviews on my family's businesses. Not impressed and very unprofessional.

So disappointed. Got their information in the mail repeatedly. Called them up and talked to two very nice people. One on the phone, and one came to look at my house in person. They offered me a fair deal AT FIRST. My husband and I took a couple weeks to sign the contract as we wanted to get pre approved from the bank and such. We got our hopes up and started looking once we got everything set up, only for Ottawa House Buyers to turn around and drop their offer by $50,000 at the last minute. I felt blindsided. I know the housing market changes but to drop the offer by $50,000 in just a couple of weeks, literally, just seems so shady. I Do NOT recommend.

Our experience with Ottawa House Buyer had been lovely. We had been treated with the utmost care through the initial process, walkthrough, conditional agreement and such. Unfortunately after two highly unprofessional last minute cancellations by the inspector, communication ceased. We were asked for our review but otherwise were treated with total disregard for several days, then without explanation the investor pulled out.Sending thanks to Jami, Olivia and Angela for all of the time, effort and respect they provided. We really were looking forward to meeting with the rest of the team but perhaps in another lifetime.

It was very poor service right at the end. They had left everything till 2 days before closing. My lawyer called me with some major concerns. On the day of closing I had to scramble to close the house. Not a good time. This also being they couldn’t give what was offered due to my condo board being in poor shape. So I was running around doing things on the day of closing as to not delay it.

Amazing team and hard working.They worked with me for closing dates kept me in the loop and helped me transition including helping me re-home my animals as my life took a down turn and I had to sell my house.I would absolutely 100% recommend them to anyone who is struggling and even if not to find a quick sell option for their home.

Best decision we ever made.With the pandemic still going on, my husband and I needed to sell our house. We had tenants in the house and the house needed a bit of TLC [painting and cleaning] so it was hard to get it sell ready. Then a friend told us about Ottawa House Buyer and what a great experience they had. We decided to give them a call. And yes it was the best decision we ever made. Jody from Ottawa House buyer came to see the house and offered the best price so yes papers were signed. They ever took over the tenants. Did not have to paint or do anything to the house. Jody was the best. Everything she said they would do they did and even with a few hiccups still the closing was on time. Just like she said it would. All we had to pay was our lawyer. We could not have had a better experience. I would recommend Ottawa House Buyer to anyone.Thank you very much

If I could give zero stars I would. Really had my hopes up because I have to move due to the death of my husband. They gave me a written offer. Didn't hear anything from them until I contacted them and they pulled out. Their ads lie. Why do they even put their handwritten flyers in my mailbox knowing they won't buy it. The woman I dealt with, Jami, was great but the investors just don't care.

I live in Ottawa. I dealt with Andrea in Toronto. She provided excellent customer service. Very personable and attentive. She told me she'd call on date x and did just as promised. Society needs more people like her!

I got a hand written letter in the mail and it looked very sketchy to be honest. I was ready to flip out on someone but Andrea was very kind on the phone and explained the purpose of the letter. Actually, it’s very clever marketing and after she explained it, I really appreciate the simple creativity of it. It does get you to read it and that’s the point. Thanks for explaining it Andrea. I’m not selling my home right now but I’ll give you guys a shot for sure when I’m ready!

Jami Watson made the sale of our home efficient and fast and easy. All that she told us from the beginning was true. After many many years in the house, the idea of decluttering and packing was more than we could fathom. But as Jami informed us, it was much simpler when we were in control of the timing. Plus we didn’t have to “show” the house or do renovations etc before selling. She was great and totally trustworthy. Our fears and concerns were dealt with calmly and kindly. I highly recommend her and the company.
